Since the GF is out of town I may be able to make it to this....depends on how late family obligations go.

See???

This is my issue with DT...

He plays amazing tracks but just too slow...

Maybe thats how he extends his sets???

I have an old set of his... Wicked set.... but about 5 bpms too slow...

Still.. The man is one of the originators... And deserves respect for being in it since before day one...

Chris...I'm in the 'maybe' list for this one...

Sounds about 125-130 to me which is pretty much standard house tempo. What were you expecting?

I would have to disagree with you on this, that sounded perfect to me...very hard very dark.....stomp your feet!

Precisely my point...

He's playing it at 125... Which is way too slow for a big room with thousands of ppl in it...

This is Green Velvet himself doing the song live...

132 bpm...

perfect...

no its not. he is the main headliner so most of the people are there to see him.
your statement would be like "celine dion should not perform at rogers center or acc because her music is too slow for a big venue. only disturbed or metallica or kiss should ever perform there."

Posted by VDub on Oct-08-2009 02:07:

It's got nothing to do with who the ppl come to see...

It's got to do with the appropriate sound for the venue...

Big fast room... Big fast sound...

Joee Cons used to play trance in the Zone many many years ago...

He played great tunes and it was fun watching him work and I love trance... But it did not belong in that small, dark room...

Can you even see my point in the smallest way???

Club music should be anywhere between 130 and 140.....unless its happy hard country then nothing under 200.
