Then ill tell on your gf

Just finished your set Bas, that was one hour of lush goodness. Didn't notice any of the hiccups you mentioned, felt it went pretty smooth if you ask me. Now on to Droog + Lee

Couple of tracks I recognized in Dixon's set so far: @00m: Nima Gorji - Keep On Getting Down

Nima Gorji is Brett's (Droog) last track before Dixon came on

When does Damian's set begin?

Posted by bas on Oct-10-2009 16:24:

Thanks guys

As for the Dixon/Damian set, I believe Dixon's last track was Cajmere - Feelin' Kidna High...or somewhere around there. I'll have another listen later today and see if I can help figure it out.

Yeah I think the end of Dixon's set is at 01.37.48 maybe the track after. I'm pretty sure the track starting at 01.45 was Damian.

Love that one, it took me quite some time to track it down after listening to it in the Ewan Pearson Culprit Session. I googled the lyrics but I had misheard then as "I feel like kicking to some old school", lol.

Ah, heh. It's a sample of Janet Jackson's R&B Junkie.

Yeah, I hadn't heard the Janet Jackson original before so it took me quite a while to figure it out.

Posted by boris_the_bear on Oct-18-2009 14:36:

will give it a listen

Posted by denys envy on Oct-19-2009 15:52:

listening now, will get back with some comments later.

Posted by denys envy on Oct-19-2009 17:58:

goddamn that's a slow bpm... what do you mix @ bassy? 122?

anyway, very chill set throughout. first couple of tracks were very laid back. around 13 mins kicked in with some organic sound that kicked it up a notch. mellowed out afterwards, even getting into some light "bells" around 25 mins - very pleasant... i didn't recognize any of these tracks so just going by what i heard... gets a little more percussive and funkier after that (about halfway through), i think that's when i really started enjoying the set - especially the couple of vocal tracks down the road.

the whole set really built upon itself, but never got out of hand. perfect "opener" music. or something for the lounge atmosphere. the second half was definitely more up my alley.

cheers!

Posted by technocolour on Oct-19-2009 18:10:

more like 115 bpms

Posted by denys envy on Oct-19-2009 18:14:

word up.

Posted by bas on Oct-27-2009 02:43:

Yeah was about 115-118 or so, took it up to 120 just as Justin got on. Baleric needs more love imo
