In his own words, 2009 has been "a big one" for Simon Patterson.

"I've had 'Thump' out recently and just prior to that was 'For The Most Part', which was my second collaboration with Sean Tyas," he says. "I've had eight consecutive No.1s on Beatport now and it's extremely gratifying to see what I do in the studio translate like that."

Out on the gig front, it seems things have been even more hectic.

"I did the first Trance Energy tour of Australia in the spring. That was a proper experience! The sheer amount of production that went into every event was amazing.

"Korea was quite special too, though," he adds. "I played in the country for the first time - at Club Volume - and it was great to see how different cultures respond when I play."

Into 2010 and Simon isn't letting up with plenty of plans brewing for the year ahead.

"I've just mixed one of the discs on the Trance Awards album and I'm doing The Essential Mix in November - I'm looking forward to that immensely. I've also got seven tracks ready to go, including two big vocal tunes, so there's loads of stuff waiting in the wings to happen."

This is gonna be a freaking great night.

I've been waiting to see Ottaviani for a while, and with Simon's return to 1015 - it's gonna be a night to remember.

Let's tape down the fire alarms this time so that no one pulls it during Simon's set like last time.

Just found out I�ll be able to go to this.

I thought I was gonna be gone to LA for Thankgiving through Sunday the 29th. But turns out I�ll get back in time - I come back the 28th.

Now I�ll be seeing Sean Tyas at Circus on the 21st, and then Guissepe and Simon at 1015 on the 28th.

Now, if we could only get Tyas and Patterson in the same room one of these nights. I�ve heard it�s a kick-ass good time!

Simon was fire last time he was here

I hung with simon last weekend and took him around town. Such a down to earth guy. He had some absolute monsters he was dropping at the rave at the Paladium he played. You guys are in for some tech trance madness. His new track whiplash is rediculous... Enjoy!

forgot to mention, we were talking about his gig in SF next week while he was down here, and he had very great things to say about the club. He was really looking forward to playing there. And he had quite a few good things to say about TAJ. He said last time he was there TAJ was dropping some ridiculous stuff.
