+1 . These things happen, regardless. A line of people standing outside a warehouse with bass thumping out of the place is no secret. Lets cut the bullshit, people just need to get over themselves. If Blkmarket really wanted to have a secret party, they wouldn't be booking Sasha or Konrad.

Part of holding a successful party is *people* actually being there.

Only way to get people there is by spreading the word.

You don't spread the word and then complain about the effects of having spread the word.

Part of holding larger events is occasionally being shut down by the cops. Blkmarket can make suggestions but it can't control people. Either something's a secret or its not. Once word is out its out to everyone, message boards or not.

and to Z editing peoples post, understood blkmarket requested it, but be partial to the shit talking on here ok MOD, i'm not asking for special treatment but the condescending bullshit needs to stop. I'm not here nearly enough to peruse online forum identities, but from the occasional pop in that i do, I can already peg the bitch and moaner quite obvious to say the least...

Squeeze me? I was NOT talking to you, and for future reference, I will NOT direct myself to you. EVER. Somebody's vag seems to be hurting.

Dunno

Solution - background check.... or cavity check. Whatever suits them best

So here's what I heard...

my boys claim that the person(s) who are blowing up these 'secret' parties are the promoters and owners of the clubs in NY because they're pissed that they're losing business every weekend. What do you think of that?

Cause let's be honest here. Anyone can find out about these parties. All you have to do is go onto RA or TA or whatever you want and find the RSVP email and then boom boom boom. Anyone could do it. Sure putting location in a thread makes it easier but big fucking deal.

and like my friend blake said, if you drive through that area in BK and see a line of people and hear pounding base then bam, you know something is up. So whatev...

people need to chill. lol.

but yeah, my sources say that the reason that police may be interested is because clubs contacted them over loss of business.

thoughts? opinions?

I hear the same thing happened w/minitek. Specifically that the people who ran Electric Zoo this year purposely fucked w/minitek last year, calling the authorities complaining/providing location info etc throughout the festival.

Not sure what the real deal is but seeing as how it's not the first time I've heard of something like this happening I guess it can't be ruled out. Seems like people who run parties would be the last one's you'd think to call the cops on other parties. Jeez..

can't this be settled with a dance-off?

That is quite possible but also a very underhanded move. Shit like that gets around people DO talk so they will loose respect in the end. Instead of hating they should make their parties better and then they wouldn't have to be so concerned with the competition.

Bindra would not pull this shit considering alot of the those DJs that played Minitek also work with Bindra at his partys

Minitek was a fuck up from the get go and was one of the most un organized events in NYC

And what clubs would do this? Not like the people that go to these parties would be filling up Pacha if they didn't exist. Sounds like a tin foil hat theory to me.

Gotta disagree here... I don't know if it's still like this, but when I was working doing behind the scenes club office stuff (when I first started out), clubs calling violations and the police on other clubs was a widespread thing. You'd be surprised what club-owners do to keep their venue alive week after week.

I do highly doubt that Made Event caused all the ruckus at Minitek though lol... That event caved in on itself...

I know of a club owner who used to call up the all Sayerville cops and the fire Marshall on Deko a few years ago. He did it from pay phone right down the road from deko too...

his club...has not been buisness since May 2006

Agreed I've seen it happen a lot, it's like politicians flinging mud back and forth - you'd think they'd grow up a little but nope...

totally agree.. to even think made had something to do with that party being shut down is funny. Last thing made needs to do is worry about some other party when no matter what night of the week or who ever is spinning at another club their party will be a complete success and then some. Its just a fact they dont need to do business that way and I know for a fact they dont.

I mean look, you dont sell 800+ tickets to a venue that is legal cap of 2-220, across the street from Penn Station. You're begging to be messed with by NYPD when there is a spill over in the streets. A phone call had been made and everything was shut, and moved to Rebel, but by that time, all chaos had broken loose and people thought everything was over.

THat combined with the Coney Island fiasco, with the sound, and the bars, and etc etc...Minitek was doomed from the beginning.

the culprit was another well-known guy...lol
