Seriously mate, play this. I used to love it back when I first started using computers. Up until three years ago I still had the DOS version too. This is a flash port and it is awesome.

Well you'll have to wait until next round.

We're off!

ETA: Fuck yeah! We found some wild fruit!

ETAA: Holy shit a thief just came and stole 40 boxes of bullets!

Posted by Omega_Blue on Nov-17-2009 04:10:

ok, i know i've asked this before but

there were four games we played on the old appleIIe's back in elementary school. one was oregon trail. the second was number munchers.

the third one was EXACTLY like the oregon trail, but instead you were a musher in the iditarod; you got to pick your dogs, and you had a special inuit helper that you had to keep from breaking his finger.

the fourth was this game where you were a fish, and you waited for encounters with other fish- during it, you had to choose whether to eat or run away from the other fish. if you were a tiny fish, you could eat algae and you had to run away from everything, but if you were the big ******, you got to eat anything (but you lost points for eating algae)

does anyone know what two games i'm talking about?

Posted by barbina on Nov-17-2009 04:12:

I used to love that when I was little

and Jori .. you better not kill me off

If you're doing anything besides hunting you're playing it wrong.

Floated across the Blue River just fine, everyone has recovered from their illness, too.

ETAA: At the Fort, time to relax and buy supplies.

ETAAx2: Leaving the Fort, time to continue on.

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on Nov-17-2009 05:00:

I have Oregon Trail on my phone, it's great. Almost impossible to make it the whole way with any family though.

Posted by Banora on Nov-17-2009 05:01:

On disk two and at the new Fort, this is pretty much the last major stop before we get into the unknown! Oh noooo.

ETA: God you people are so fucking needy. Its always "I'm siiick" or "Lets stop and rest for five days" or "I need foood".

haha cool little game. I just went and looked in the DOS game folder I hate (8gb mind you!) and sure enough, both the original release and the "enhanced" edition are in there. 1mb for the origianl and 11mb for the enhanced.
