I don't give a shit how good your pizza is - you don't fucking yell at your customers, regardless of who the fuck you are. I've been going there for years, like a tradition every time I'm in the city - this time they lost me as a customer.

Jeez, we were lucky and got in with no line. Literally 20 min afterwards we had some sweet pizza. I hear Lombardi's is amazing as well, will try that next time I'm down there.

Sorry to hear you were yelled at by some idiot that worked there, bah.

My set of the night went to Christopher Lawrence, Ronski was too vocally for me I think. Pacha was great, not too many guido's/ginos's around which is always good. Vibe was sweet too. Forgot how strong the booze usually is in the city, got really wrecked.

Also went to Love after, that was the best techno I have heard in a while. Sound in there rocks!

Nice meeting Felix, Erica, Claudia, Evi and everyone else I talked to in my drunken NYC club ramblings. lol You all rock!

See you next time I come down.

(it's Chris btw for anyone wondering or still in recovery mode)

Hiiiiiii

Good to meet you, Chris!
You should've come with us to reSOLUTE. Let us know next time you're around

Tracks I remember from RS:

Lange Feat. Sarah Howells - Let it All Out (Ronski Speed Remix)
Wippenberg - Pong
First State Feat. Sarah Howells - Brave (Unsure of Remix)
Oceanlab - Lonely Girl (ID Remix, Not Gareth Emery)
Nic Chagll - This Moment (Prog Mix)
Oceanlab vs. Gareth Emery - On A Metropolis Day
Ferry Corsten - Made of Love
Rex Mundi vs. Ronski Speed - The Perspective Space

... was kind of wandering around the club a bit so I know there's some I missed.

they've opened different locations in queens (douglaston) and i'd recommend patsy's on 23rd st or 74th

going to the bk bridge is what we in NY call a TOURIST TRAP

He also played a new remix of Chicane - Saltwater - sounded horrid. Had the Richard Durand style *ping pong ping pong* sound he used in Madagascar. All I asked if it was Richard Durand - surprisingly it wasn't.

The song AFTER Let It All Out was soo fuking wicked. I think he said it was one of his.. (remix/original I dunno) It had a nasty breakbeat style breakdown. Twas mighty fun song.

the Lonely Girl remix was Ronski's own, I'm pretty sure.
RAMsterdam and JOC feat. Josie - Out of Nowhere were also big for me. <3

what a night. and not one I expected to have at Pacha! at times the vocals were a bit too much for me but man, we were part of that ridiculous group to the right of the middle, jumping around and singing at the top of our lungs when "On a Metropolis Day" dropped. it never fails! Chris Lawrence-- never heard him live before, glad I came! though I had to take breaks from his set & wander down to the basement because the bass never ended. :P

all in all, MORE excited for Wednesday because this night was good.

what an awesome night! couldnt stop dancing all night. not usually a fan of pacha but this definitely had a Massive flavor to the night, loved it!

Glad to hear this one went well.

Unfortunately, I was at a late night showing of Twilight: New Moon on Friday ().

Hopefully Chris gets booked again in the near future. I don't think I've missed any of his NY gigs since 2002...really wanted to hear what he brought ot the table at Pacha. Next time for sure.

Holy shit what a tracklist! I would've went absolutely bananas these are almost exclusively tracks I love and only heard at home, never in a club setting, who's responsible for this?

Posted by James Gill on Nov-25-2009 07:23:

What an awesome night! No matter where you were in that club, the music was off the hook! Ronski was just dynamite from start to finish. CL played a relentless set, a little too much for me at times, but his crowd interaction and energy was really great. Brad closed out the night proper with a bang and wouldn't let anybody leave that dancefloor.

Everyone in the basement was nothing short of amazing too. Harji and Watson had an awesome, techy vibe going that was unique and lots of fun to dance to. Danny played an absolutely monster set and brought some crazy energy. Finally, Rai tore it up with some late night bombs that made that space feel like a second big room.

A truly unforgettable time: I made it a point to see everyone play and I am so glad I did because they all ripped it, and I still don't think I have yet fully recovered haha.

That was my set haha... A lot of the weirder stuff in that tracklist is stuff I play on the regular @ LOVE... I find it easier to experiment there, but it was awesome to see the PACHA crowd feeling it as well...

also:
Paul van Dyk - For an Angel (Spencer & Hill remix)
John O'Callaghan - Out of Nowhere (Stoneface & Terminal remix)
Dakota - Johnny the Fox (Barnes & Heatcliff remix)

Brave remix was Myon and Shane 54 Monster mix.
Lonely Girl remix was Ronski's, which someone already pointed out.

i loved Ronski's set, but then again, i love vocal trance so he played what i liked.

i wish Chris Lawrence played some of his Mr and Mrs Smith stuff, the project group he created with his wife. "techno infused electro house, but with a nasty edge..." as he puts it. he played his own sound that night. it was a nice change of pace, but i'm with most of the people here. he's up-tempo and he's nonstop. i kinda like the ebbs and flows. first time catching him live and i enjoyed it overall, especially that last track. he tells his listeners what the artist/title is on Rush Hour 020, but i can't make out what the hell he's saying. something Defier - The Chronic(?). friggin' bullcrap. i can understand if he was some European DJ with a heavy accent, but he's freakin' American. c'monnnnn.

i didn't know Eco was on beforehand. otherwise, i woulda showed up early. looks like a sweet tracklist. it sucks that i missed it.

I really don't enjoy any uplifting trance anymore and thats all above and beyond and armin play anymore. Tiesto turned electro, phase I went thru 2 summers ago. Most other popular DJs are in my opinion just talentless... they play out the same type of shit just because it was released last month, as if there isnt 15 years of EDM to fall back on. Your tracklist must be the first live set I ever saw to impress me... Keep it up!!

As You Fall, Sunhump, Black Is The Colour, Don't Belond and Southern Sun would literally make my top 50 of all time. Deep down & how can you feel it are my recent favorites. Where are you spinning next weekend?

Posted by Leniu on Nov-27-2009 20:42:
