A marine biologist. I would constantly watch shark documentaries on discovery (back when discovery had real documentaries).

Since I was about three, and I still want to be one. Secretly big on astronomy and space.

Same here, when Apollo 13 came out I watched it over and over.

Represent. I broke two VHS copies of that because I watched it so much. Still one of my all-time favorite movies.

Posted by enydo on Nov-30-2009 05:31:

Hahaha, I definitely broke my family's vhs of it as well. Good times, I think I'll watch it again tonight.

When I was little, I loved dinosaurs and wanted to be a paleontologist. When I got a little older, I thought about being a marine biologist, so I could swim with dolphins and stuff.

Now I hate animals and want to be a rockstar.

So where does one sign up for a course on that?

And i would add F1 driver to my list, but since i would still like a miracle to happen to get a chance at that, the wish is not limited to when i was a kid.

I've changed my mind a million times... but most memorable:

- mom (as a really little girl)
- teacher
- astronomer
- lawyer
- interior designer
- videographer
- back to teacher (weird how I went back to it)

That would be such an amazing feeling.

Seriously. The guy was the furthest from the cargo bay that anyone has gone. It was a whole 100m. I really want to see where space suits go in the next 20 years. If they can make them hypermobile compared to what they are now and still stay light and very protective, just think of how much smaller things could get. How much easier things would be.

I wanted to build treehouses

Posted by Damerchi on Nov-30-2009 09:38:

I was landing learjets on flight simulator 95 as a third grader, one time I sat through an 8 hour flight in real time over the atlantic, and thought it was the coolest shit ever

But I smoke weed, and don't plan on stopping, so i cant be a pilot(in north america atleast). that's just the way it goes.

Really though, I only remember 2 things I wanted to be: Doctor and Cashier. I thought it looked fun to press buttons, handle money, look things up in a book, write stuff on receipts, etc.

So many people name these it's scary. Those were my dream jobs, too. I wonder what makes them so appealing to a kid. I know I just loved my stars & dinosaurs.

Then I realized I'd need to learn math/physics, and it stopped being awesome. Next thing was journalist/writer, and that's actually still relevant.

i only remember wanting to work for Lego (no kidding). i wanted to develop new shit like cars or ships or whole lego towns

Posted by kadomony on Nov-30-2009 12:40:

I remember the first thing I wanted to be was a forklift-driver at around age 4 or so. Got into a ton of different stuff like egyptology (my friend and I used to analyze stargate movie non-stop after school), chemistry (used to keep a composition book of any chemical formulas I could find), computers, etc. Nothing really attracted me as I got older though. I guess now, I'm focused on music/djing but who knows in the future.
