I mean c'mon - you got friends with businesses, can't you talk to them? And you STILL haven't cheated on her...

Does she still deserve half? Just curious

uh no i don't think she deserves half. i gave a valid situation where it would be OK to ask for half. i didn't say all women who are stay at home moms/wives should get half, no matter what the situation is.

yea but there are guys out there who are masters at leading double lives.

i worked with a female attorney a few years ago whose husband was a pro golfer who was leading a total double life when he would go away for a week or longer on his golf tournaments. he would hire escorts and massive amounts of cocaine to his hotel room and rock out and then come home recovered...she had no idea. she found out because i guess he finally slipped and the escort service called his house to confirm an escort while he was at a tournament in NY. she thought it was a joke at first lol

but then again, this attorney was one of those uppity bitches who only cared about her little country club life and saving face, etc... i guess when you're that materialistic and marry for the wrong reasons and are naive/dumb, then you deserve it.

If you still need tests right before marriage your way too late and pretty stupid to be honest.

Through life you have ups and downs in relationships from yourself, friends and family. All these ups and downs around you can make you wiser. Do believe me smart people do not need tests

And yes stupid people do visit hookers on a bachelor party.

might be hard to remember because of how famous Woods is, but this isn't exactly closeted gay politicians voting against gay rights. I see nothing wrong with it.

Hard, empirical evidence beats mere speculation (i.e. trust), especially since people are notoriously poor at objectively assessing their romantic partners (most people recognize this, but view themselves as an exception; here's a tip: you're not.)

you know how some women (or men maybe i dunno if a guy has actually done this) will put their S.O. to the test, maybe before they get married, and hire some cute chick to throw herself at her soon-to-be husband to see if he would cheat...

you guys think that is legit or messed up?

You tell us. You're the psychologist.

Yeah, and the same rule still applies. You can either trust that your husband/partner/lover is this type of person, or not. That's just the "risk" that everyone (except Arbiter) takes when they choose to love somebody and remain in a relationship with them. Sometimes you just get fucked, c'est la vie.

I think I'd rather live in ignorance (if I was with a double lifer) than suspicion. However, I'd like to think I'd know that I was with a piece of shit, lol.

drama queen

dude, that's like 6 times already in the past few days. look at yourself!

Posted by Rose on Dec-02-2009 20:46:

I think that who ever does that clearly has trust issues with their S.O. and probably isn't ready for marriage yet.

Do you guys think it's cheating when you're dating someone and your partner is already talking to someone behind your back? I think it is, in a way. Though they aren't doing anything with this person, they sure are thinking about it.

Anything that betrays the values and expectations two people have agreed on in a relationship (concerning fidelity) is cheating, imo.

yea i guess. to be honest, i've seen so many fucked up things and lies and shit and heard stories, i guess i'm just one of those people who isn't surprised by much and i'm realistic about things and people, especially in relationships.

i was just sharing a story in the pothead thread the other day about my ex's college crew. they all lived in minnesota and one in north dakota with wives they dated in college and kids at home and they were in miami doing all kinds of drugs n shit. i mean they weren't cheating, but still...their wives had no clue what was going on. they only do that like once or twice a year. wmc and vegas.

and that lawyer chick i just told you about was married to that guy for 10 years and they had a son together who was like 8. then you also got these wives whose husbands leave them after 15 years and admit to being gay the whole time.

lol you just never fucking know with ANYone. not even your own parents.

but yea i'm the same as you in that i give myself credit for being able to spot shit. perfect example is my last serious relationship with that guy i discovered was watching teen porn every fucking day after class while i was at work. lol NO THANKS. he was the total sweet & innocent type, completely swept me off my feet, i thought i had found a total keeper. from ohio, small town boy, drop dead gorgeous, great family and great relationship with them...

oh yea disclaimer: addicted to porn.

I agree. I've had people tell me it isn't cheating because nothing physical happened but still, it's the fact that they were planning on it which fucks with the trust in the relationship.

And yeah you really don't know who anyone is, no matter how long you've known them. People change everyday.
