We've probably already seen all the good parts of the movie in the trailers. Like most hollywood movies I'm sure the hype is better then the movie will ever be. That being said....I still want to see it.

This is why I stay away from most trailers and hype material, because the sole purpose of it is to make you believe that it's going to be the second coming of Christ. I'll check out the trailer once; and if the concept looks interesting I'll go see it, with little to no expectations. It makes movies far more enjoyable.

I'm excited to see this!!

Posted by geroin on Dec-18-2009 08:49:

just came back from watching this flick

this is definitely one of the best films i've ever seen, just incredible, i recommend everyone to go see it.

graphics/shots/scenes/video work/3d - 20/10
storyline 9.8/10

just unreal, you can just tell how much work was put into it. don't go with high expectations though, just put on those 3d glasses and forget about everything for 2.5hours, as much as you know that everything that is happening is nonexistent it makes you really feel that you are there seeing it with your own eyes, like you are a part of this world.

the projector stopped displaying the video the last 20 seconds of the movie, the whole theater of people got their tickets refunded, i somehow managed to get 3 free tickets instead of 2. That was icing on the cake because everyone pretty much knew what was about to happen so it wasn't a big deal.

Overall i'm still excited/amazed about this movie, hasn't happened in a long time lol
I'm not big on writing reviews but i just had to say a few words, i'm sure once enough people watch it we will get some incredible reviews in this thread

I'm going to see this on Tuesday in Imax 3D. I can't wait!

So what's the deal with this whole 3D thing?
You put on the glasses and some scenes are supposed to jump out at you ala those green/red duplicate drawings from back in the day?

For those who've seen this movie or any movie in 3D or whatever, is it worth it?

PS. can't wait to see this movie

just saw this today in imax.. all i can say is AMAZING! just go early so u dont have to sit all the at the front. Excellent story line with some truth to it.. I believe thats how the Myans and our ancestors use to live thousands of years ago.. in touch with nature and understood the flow and concept of energy.
Anyhow excellent movie everyone should see.

I've seen other movies in 3D IMAX that were totally not worth it (Up, one of the Harry Potter movies, maybe a Spider-Man?) but there's no reason to see this movie in any other format. Its made to be seen like this, and you'll never get the chance to see it like this again once its out of theatres. Its not just "some scenes" that jump out at you, the entire movie is done in EXCELLENT 3D, in terms of clarity, depth perception, everything, it just feels real in a way that you never realized movies could. The first 5 seconds has a moment that's a total show off "Look at what we can do" that just makes you sit back and go "Ok, this is going to be a trip"

+1.

It is truely incredible in 3D. Nothing like I have ever seen before. And I'm not overstating shit - unlike every movie reviewer in Hollywood now...

Sounds like it's a supremely badass experience. I'll def see it this week in 3D

Precisely the kind of answer I was looking for, thanks. Can't wait to check it out.

get there early too! the room was pretty much sold out

I saw Salvation in IMax and found it to be difficult to watch with the screen so big. You had to look around a lot to get the full screen in...

Was it not the same for this???
