don't mind the commercialized part... i don't see anything wrong with sacrificing capital as a gesture of care, as long as you don't forget to express it other ways too.

the music drives me insane though, do we really need to hear 1000 different renditions of the same handful of songs on repeat, everywhere we go? one of my neighbours even has speakers set up outside playing little kid choir versions of carols, each one complete with '80s style gated percussion... makes me want to burn down my whole street.

The packed malls don't bother me. I guess all those jam-packed nights at guv trained me for that. What really drives me up the wall is how messy some shoppers are. You walk into a store and the goddamn place is turned upside down! The poor employees can barely keep up. Especially clothing stores. It takes me forever to find the sizes I'm looking for.

I also hate it when people whom I barely know give me cards or gifts. Then I feel obligated to give them something. Now that's just one more thing I need to get so I don't look like a cheapskate. lol.
