2009 was good year overall

lots of new life experience that has been challenging and rewarding. i know pretty much what my path in life is going to be, so future is something i'm looking forward to

next year is going to be another step up in facing life's challenges, but i think i'll enjoy it, even though i'll be out of canada for most of the year. i'll miss my family and my friends, but such is life

also grateful that I had couple of opportunities to tick off few check marks i'd like to do as a DJ. I got to play at Acid Lounge and at Footwork, which was awesome. (although i only had like 3 gigs all year lol. quality over quantity?)
now, if I can play at Guv main room and at a boat cruise, that would be even better career highlights

looking forward to 2010!

2009 was so/so for me. I travelled to many great places and met new people, but things i never thought possible happened to me in a negatove way, sooooooooo i'm glad it's over.
I'm welcoming 2010 with big arms and hoping for more love and respect from people around me. I'm ready to close the 2009 chapter in my life.
2010... bring it on!

My condolences.

2009 was, for me, a wierd year. The first 6-7 months were all about pushing my limits; near the end of the summer I think I hit a saturation point and had to slow down, spending the next few months just fighting laziness.

Only in the past 2 months have things really started to pick up; a lot of the magic has been at work and on side projects, realizing that it doesn't always have to be the same boring grind, that my brain does still work and that a few great ideas can have an impact.

So I suppose for 2010 I'm looking forward to more of that - to recovering the energy I had in the early months, and perhaps to some important career choices.

2009 was strange. I am not sad to see it go.

Career - ups and downs, but generally positive
Romance - gong show
Travel - A+
Health - see romance

Planning on restoring some more balance in my life in 2010 and just simplifying my life a little bit. I turn 30 this year and am hoping to really move on from the negative things that characterized my 20's, while building on the positive things I accomplished during that time.

2009 was one of the most boring years ever for me. party wise.... i've seen plump dj's and thats pretty much it. romance.... well, i ended my 4 months old marriage and then had more sex with fat chicks that i'd like to remember. so that sucked hard too. i sold my half of the business to my partner because i had enough of it. that was kinda ok. i had pneumonia on 2 separate occasions (sucks) but my knee finally healed up nicely (yay), cut off a piece of my thumb (kinda cool cause it got reattached and now i can feel fuck all in it).....

in 2009 lots of my family and friends died in one way or another and thats what really stuck with me. not a good year, not at all.

but on the other hand, in those 3 weeks i spent in Serbia i did see my sister getting married, went to buy beer after the weeding wearing nothing but suspenders and undies (10 am), spent wicked cool 5-6 days with kristine and my family, babysat my 4 nieces aged 4.5, 2.5 and 10 months old twins, had sex with married woman, saw my childhood friends....

so it was a'ight. nothing spectacular but not so bad either.

2010 is already shaping up to be the best year ever. i'll be an uncle 3 more times (God willing) and that puts a bigass smile on my face.

my goals for 2010
- no sex with fat chicks, none whatsoever !!
- mastering headspins. if i dont do it this year im quitting breakdancing for good.
- finding a nice, down to earth girl. with huge tits.
- pour my heart and my soul into this speech im preparing for my best friends wedding.
- go to cuba at least twice.
- be a better friend and a best goddamned brother and son that i can be !

happy new year to all !!!!

LOL \O/ you killed me with this.

I have a feeling you are definately going to have things go your way this year M.

2010 is going great so far. Actually...fantastic.
2009 went 'bye' too fast. Seen a lot of people up and down. Tried to help where I could, but pulled back from the toxic. Cleaned up FB and focused on my career, business-laws, self growth, independence and life values.

IMO one disappointment in 2009 was reading how some still troll sites and feed-off the misfortunes of others with reckless disregard and lack of empathy. We all read their posts, those that callously declare their self-given rights, post antagonistically, put down and make excuses for talking at/about others with disdain or contempt. People who enjoy dishing out-at or about another. Behaving so high school and showing no personality, growth, progress or courtesy (this includes those with no individuality who just follow or flame things up). Such behavior doesn't create unity within the electronic dance music scene--and lurkers read it as a 'misserable-lot' of self centred people in a forum. I found this to be my peeve and disappointing to read in 2009.

...despite all this, I still wish everyone a great and happy New Year along with lots of PLUR (for those that know the lingo).

Bring on the Prog!!!!!

2009 was a pretty decent year for me overall, work was less hectic than last year and I got to travel a fair bit for business and pleasure.
Trips during the year included Stockholm, Dominican Republic, Lyon, Nice, Prague, Cambridge, London, Brussels, Rome and Canada a few times.
I didn't go to many festivals or out of town club nights, mainly just the Awakenings parties, but that suited me just fine, this year will likely be similar. I was also happy that both of my parents had a chance to visit me in Amsterdam, first time since I moved.

I had been looking forward to 2010 for much of 2009, not least because I am now working part-time and back to being a student again. Definitely looking forward to the change and challenges ahead! Also some travel plans for this year I am anxiously awaiting - Dominican Republic with most of my family, Madrid, Vienna-Bratislava-Budapest and Milan for the F1 grand prix.

Happy New Year everyone!
