his show on nye was actually terrible. i mean, i was not expecting to hear cheezy hiphop dance remixes all night. (i guess i should of expected that since his last album was that.)

i think he disappointed alot of his edm educated listeners that night...but he did make alot of newbie edm listerns or people not into the edm happy.

Game is changing, and EDM is becoming more mainstream everyday. Expect lots more cheese coming up.

Guetta has a HUGE following in LA because Sexy Bitch is getting played on every Top 40 English & Spanish radio station in town. Yes, that's KIIS FM, AMP Radio, Power 106, Latino 96.3 and Super Estrella 107.1. The power of radio is HUGE!!! Also, pretty much every mashup/top 40 DJ is playing it right now.

If you thought that was cheesy, just wait a few more months. DJ Chuckie, Afrojack and Laidback Luke are next. They're getting hammered in the mainstream right now. And don't forget Pitbull who's been sampling a lot of house classics.

Radio has turned into absolute garbage... pop in the present day is crap and hip-hop/rap went down the tube many years ago.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they wanted to hear...otherwise they would have gone to a cheaper party with a less cheesy/commercial dj

I would say I have one of the most open minds when it comes to Djs. I enjoy sets from DJs that play all across the board. Honestly, there are only 2 DJs that come to mind that I cant stand. David Guetta and Benny Benassi. Everytime I get tricked into hearing one of them play they consistantly are complete downers. Everything about their sound and image is completely horrible.

ps. Dan Ghenacia comes to mind as well. he layed down the worst set Ive ever heard at avalon halloween 2008

I personally love cheese, but just the housier stuff (Morillo, Sanchez, SHM etc). I have to admit some of the stuff Guetta has put out recently has been just too much for my taste, but that's just right for the mainstream taste. Which of course equals a ton of cash.

LBL will be pushing some cheese shortly, it will probably be on Guettas level. I don't blame him for it, he just wants to give his wife and children a better life. Its the best thing he can do since he isn't around all that much. And because he is loyal to his fans and music he keeps on moving instead of slowing down.

I would prefer to be at a Morillo show, then a Gerber show anytime of the week. The cheese Morillo shoots out has a lot more rhythm and has wayyy more energy then the stuff Guy plays that puts you in a comma or into sleep.
