Ehhh, the synths he used ruined it :\. I downloaded the World In My Eyes remake, it's pretty good, but where the hell did the vocals go? It doesn't really have any similarity to the original.

Technically, it's a very well produced track, everything's in order, sounds powerful and uplifting, but the instrument Airbase chose for the melody could use some improvement. I agree with some of the comments that were previously said.
The song just isn't the same without that guitar melody, the strings sound a bit cheesy in comparison. The vocals don't seem appropriate in the remake as well, where as the original is more chilled down.
As far as DJ Stigma - The Answer (The Scarab Mix) is concerned, another well produced track but it just lacks something. The vocals imo do not flow well with the instrumental. I would very much like to see a dub of this.
The bottom line?
Great work Airbase.

It was good to hear someone else's interpretation of the tune. I'm not saying it was better, hell, for that matter, i don't think it could be improved. But, the remix is a lot better than i could do for any tune.

OKay guys, let me clear things up!
The attitude-thingy, does Swamper know I post here-thingy!
I was angry because I joined this forum, started to answer questions that some people had concerning me, and I know Swamper knew I was here, and therefore I though it was kind of mean to put some of my work up for downloading! Okay, if he 1. had asked. 2. put up some of my own productions, then maybe I wouldnt be so angry about it. The thing is that The Answer is not my track, its DJ Stigmas, I just remixed it. My remix belongs to his release. I just got the whole thing as a thing that Swamper did only to piss me off, but as he removed it, Im okay with it! I just had lots of temper at that moment!
About the Solar Stone-remix, it is correct that the remix that got out isnt finished. I have the finished version now, but wont let anyone hear it, as it might get spreaded too! That the remix has been released by some lousy MP3-group (IDC i think it was) just proves the ingnorance of people dealing with mp3 release groups, they release about anything from anywhere, to be able to call it a "cool release".
THe remix aint finished, and someone that was supposed to hear the version the way it was, just to give me comments, gave the unfinished remix to someone else, and on that way, it goes on!
Hope I made all my points clear! Its not nice to read bad words about me if they are not righteous, so I had to reply to this! People that gags on my music, that I can take, but personal attacks just makes me unhappy... Im a nice guy, I think =o)

The synths came in and out of the song too sharply, and the result is a song that seems to be conflicted between being energetic or chilled.
Lastly.. this whole attitude issue is really, really stupid. I can only hope that those people who have continued to harangue Airbase for his honest misappraisal of the situation will realize how petty and childish their words appear.

arites well to discuss more on the actual topic which belongs to the track and not the drama, I find the airbase remix much easier to use in a set. I like it and even agreed with a friend of mine that said this song could be rocked twice in a set. the original banging it out at the end and the remake somewhere in mid set. as for the track being undone..yes it does seem a bit undone. airbase good shit man..much love from new york city...or atleast from me. would love to hear the finished version.
suggestions:
I really like the synth during the "your so cool" part, you know, that kind of wailing "siren" synth.
But i think the main lead could be beefier and richer.
can't wait to hear the final result!
Ocean Wave i would really like to hear your music, because you talk like a professional sounding producer, and you must make good tracks.
Producing is some hard shit, if you haven't tried it i suggest you do, you'll have a new respect for those who do.
My friend is starting to produce and what helps is not. "This is garbage, this is shit." it's "This is what i like about the song and this isn't."
If someone said what you've been working on totally sucked and didn't give reasons why or how to improve, you would be a bit defensive.

OK, this is to be my last post in here as I don't want to get into arguments.
I took it from the Recycle Bin and has another listen just now and here are my reasons for not liking it.
It's hard for me to explain but I'll try. The bassline isn't doing it for me and the synth doesn't fit the melody IMO. Also, I don't like the way it builds up after the "You're So Cool" sample. Perhaps it's partly because I love the original so much that I don't like this at all and the fact that it isn't even finished yet.
Nothing against Airbase as I do like much of what I've heard from him such as the productions "Sparrow", "Dreamer" and Airbase vs Inzite "Unity Of Earth" though just not this remix and no, I have no production skills what so ever LOL, and of course this is 50000 times better than anything that I will ever probably do.
My previous comments, no offence intended but as I said, it was my opinion.

After listening to it a couple times....this last time LOUD....it sounds BANGIN good. I can see this bein played by any major dj in their set at a trance energy dance dept or sensation event. Well Done Mr Airbase.
Just a question to Airbase. Do you have to ask for permission to remix? I mean do you sorta ring up and go "Hi.. Solar Stone, can i remix one of your tracks?" BTW have the Solar Stone ppl heard it and what do they think?

Actually, I really like the main melody synth - it's kinda cool. However, I really don't like the how the notes slide into each other sometimes. It makes it sound goofy, as if someone is fiddling around with the pitch wheel.
Pretty cool remix! Not as good as the original though
it sounds good to me i like it
doesn't beat the original , his remix needs some improvments (well the version i heard)
