We all think Oakenfold is a joke, but he was responsible for some good things in the 90s. Which is almost exactly the same thing most people think about Tiesto.

Tbh I can see why that wasnt released , personally i think its very very meh.

And as mentioned , the perfecto remix of lemon is shocking.
Infact its beyond shocking.

But like any 'Major' name , you cant real blame them as they just sit back and ask for things to be more purple.

Exactly. I love some of their earlier stuff. It's just looking at them today that they're a complete joke. Which is actually really sad and disappointing =/

This track is another one of Oakie's best moments.

I actually had no idea this was an Oakey track, this is probably one of my favorite trance tracks ever.

I dont think Oakenfold really produced any of thsese, i remember seeing some BBC documantry where Oakenfold was sitting in his studio next to some gimp who did everything for him.

I might be wrong at interpreting it though...

Yeah, Paul Osbourne will have done the hard work.

All I gotta say is

But Oakenfold brought house to London from Ibiza, you know, seeing as how he was the first Brit to step foot there.

Steve Osbourne. Andy Gray. And others...

No top jock like Oakey or Tiesto does/produces everything on their own.

A more prescient question is whether they do anything on their own.

guilty pleasure

with the remixes, it's a toss up of the u2 remix in mention, the olive remix jay mentioned and the remix of wrote for luck. the remix of w.f.l. just makes sense where as the original, while a great song, was a textbook example of why martin hannett productions didn't make sense near the end of his life.

Posted by Schadenfreude on Jan-14-2010 17:46:

this one is good too.

Posted by montana on Jan-14-2010 17:51:

yeah, but i prefer the ganja kru remix. the roni size remix is great but ganja kru's remix incorporates more of the original sounds, which is why i liked the original in the first place. roni size made his remix with the first batch where the remixes didn't use the original sounds besides the vocal.
