Been to a good bit of parties in midtown that went past 3. Recently too

Posted by Xevious on Jan-12-2010 01:46:

True but they aren't the norm or maybe I just haven't been out in a while? Which places stay open past 3?

Posted by inferno on Jan-12-2010 02:00:

Apache, masquerade, spring 4th and anywhere else that serves food late.

Well, I have been silenced. Lol. Never really got into Blank and Jones, but that's the type of show I was talking about. Who is bring them? I may actually go to that. Could anyone tell me what kind of set they play? And a question about the guestlist thing, does it mean get in free before 10:30 if we r on it or what? Anyways, I guess random shows pop up here and there.

For a city smaller than us, Charlotte has some really nice clubs.

We saw Burridge at HOM a few years ago. The set went till about 3am and then everything moved downstairs where it went on indefinitely. We need something like that in Atlanta.

Yea, that night was epic. It's too bad HOM doesn't exist anymore.

It's because Liquified epic-failed the Tiesto event.

Tiesto then called up Armin, Markus, Ferry, PVD, etc and told them never to come back to Atlanta ever again.

Oh, and Cosmic Gate spread the word that you'll get fucked over by Opera and they'll switch your play date on a whim in favor of "College Night" when, in fact, class isn't even in session, in turn screwing you out of potential income.

Atlanta is definitely lacking as far as clubs goes. Sound in most places is mediocre at best.

Charlotte has over 100,000 more people in their city proper than Atlanta. While we obviously outshine them in terms of MSA (5.2mil vs 1.7mil), I think the centralization of CLT lends itself to their night life. It also helps that a lot of the clubs are located in a decent proximity of each other and that, from my experience, promoters in Charlotte are much more organized than here.

All that being said, Atlanta is going pretty crazy right now, although it may not be in the trance sector since I am naive.

Too bad about HOM closing down. Why'd it close?
