there are a bunch of djs myspaces / websites have them listed as playing the beatpoty party @ the gansevoort on the friday, saturday + sunday of the weekend.

Ah, ok. They have been thrown Thu-Sun the last couple years. Guess there's a change this year.

The parties are free...first come first serve. So as soon as they hit capacity they stop letting people in. I recommend getting there super early regardless, because the line ups are sick and these parties are always super packed.

The Ganesvoort has a "beach area" behind the hotel. Its all sand, and there are chairs and umbrellas and things but no pool. Its seperate from the pool hotel area. Its actually a pretty small space from what I remember last year. I know some friends did make it up to the roof and were able to walk around the pool area. I had to leave early so i'm not sure if you can hear the music in those other areas; I kind of doubt it. There IS a liquor store right around the corner though

Last year Miller Lite cans were $9 I believe. That was for one of the Scion parties, never know what Beatport will pull out.
