well well, im coming bak on this site after so long. id have to say, the guv is starting to get good again, its about time. this party was probably one of the best ones. all dj's played good, especially alex morph!! morph pretty much played all the ASOT episodes, lol. blank and jones didnt impress me much, but im glad they came on early, i had plenty of time to drink crown and ginger while they were playing... mark oliver is finally starting to play good again, amazing set. overall, 95% amazing... blank and jones, not really my thing, but for those who enjoyed b/j, good for them. cant wait for feb 13th marco v, and asot 450!!

I basically stayed till 4.

I wish I could have stayed longer but I am not really a fan of menno. The people that organize the set times really need to get their heads out of the clouds and realize that new tallent should be played during the middle of the night and not used as a closer.

Other than that Rank one killed it, It was great hearing him.
Blank and Jones played one million times better than they did the last time.

Got there around 11 and MO was still playing, really glad to not have missed Rank 1's beginning of the set. I was so impressed with this DJ, and I really enjoyed the tunes. It was very different from most of the trance that I have heard lately, and some of the stuff sounded very proggy.

Blank & Jones were pretty good as well, but I think they somewhat killed the vibe after Rank 1's set. I am glad however to see them live because I never seen them before, and I really enjoy some of their chillout stuff.

First time seeing Menno as well, and I wasn't really impressed. Some songs very good, but overall he was very boring and played too much cheese. Didn't see anything special about this DJ.

Alex Morph was amazing!!! I was able to stay till the end, and I really liked the flow and his track selection. He played a really good mashup of Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition and Sweet Dreams...that made my night!!!! <3

By the way, checked out the Gallery, and the vibe was super sketchy. David Ace was on the decks playing some weird cracked out tribal house at 120 bpm. Stayed there for probably about 10 minutes and headed back to the main room. The renovations were pretty nice though!

The night would have been so much better if the set times were:

Alex M.O.R.P.H.
Menno

It was great to see so many TAs and nice to meet VDub in person!

Well, we all got there at just about 11. Rank 1 awesome... Blank and Jones meh.... Menno always plays well... Then Morph went on and kinda killed for me so we decided to leave after like 3 songs... but i guess that was mistake when he finally started to kick it up a notch, o well he will prob be back. It was good to see the usuals oz, v, kris, peter... the list goes on...

Cant wait for thrillseekers coming up!!!!!!

So glad Rank 1 played when he did. Was lots of room and not to sketchy. I got my trance fill and got the fuck out of there just when the sketch train pulled into the station.

My first time at the Guvernment, and all i can say is WOW! I had such a great time. Amazing music, amazing area, beautiful girls...Does not get much better than that. I can not wait to do it again; hopefully in a couple weeks, hopefully the second time is as good as the first!

Overall I wasn't all that impressed, especially with Rank 1.
He played the kind of trance where it builds up only to go back to a basic, monotonous beat. Definitely not my taste in music.
From what he played, I only really enjoyed a couple tracks, one being Forget About Us (Barnes and Heatcliff mix).
Additionally, Rank1 looked like he was there just for a paycheck. He also had a smug, pompous look on his face the whole time.
Just my opinion.

Blank & Jones were playing the same kind of stuff as Rank1 until about half way through their set, when it started to turn more melodic.
I was anticipating them playing some Martin Roth and I was really happy when I got to hear one of my favourite mixes by him at the end.
I like how much they got into it, as well. They were there to party.

Unfortunately, I had to leave right after that and missed Menno and Morph.
I'm sure I would have liked them a lot better; especially Menno, after seeing him on Canada Day.

@Coxx: thanks for the vids, since I missed the two guys I wanted to see most.

BTW, I came up and introduced myself a second time (once at Vola). You thought I was some fuckin weirdo (partially true) :P
I was chilling with my gf, Ferg, and Newkicks at the time.

EDIT: After listening to the songs Menno and Morph played... I can say I would have enjoyed them much more.
They played REAL trance.
