| Originally posted by BiG MiKE I guess I'll start? First, I want to say awesome job to Massive for once again being able to pack out Pacha and for bringing someone like Marco V who hasn't been here since Avalon (I think 2005 or 06??). Really great to see Harji & Watson tear it down as the first DJs to go on. Eco was doing a sick job as well with a wicked mashup to start things off. For those who didn't know, I never got to see Marco V because I got kicked out of the club for attempting to get on the Mezzanine. It's fucking amazing how Pacha decided to make a rule about not letting anyone upstairs with sneakers and/or without button down shirts. My friends and I came in before 11PM ready to enjoy a night upstairs with bottle service; celebrating an upcoming release for a label and this bitch outside tells me since I'm wearing sneakers, I have to be placed downstairs on the first floor to have my service. Not only that, but my friends and I had to leave that designated area by 1:30. We bought two bottles which was over $400. It's quite outrageous and I know it's not Massive's fault in any way, shape, or form. But that was some bullshit. I know some people spending over $1000 that night only to be placed downstairs because they aren't wearing the proper attire to be upstairs. Who fucking knew they care more about a dresscode than money?? I'm apparently not allowed to come back to Pacha. And for someone like me, it's very hard to forget how I look. So if I come back, I think I'll be recognized. Maybe it's time to lose some weight so they don't remember me ![]() Someone tell me how Marco V was. I can only assume it was nasty |
(Marcello: sooo happy to see that a large crowd actually got to hear you play, you were beyond AMAZING i soo cannot WAIT till ASOT 450; also im glad that Tom Colontonio got to spin his tunes for more ppl in NYC, i loooved hearing him in a larger room

They actually treated me pretty well in the VIP. I guess that's what happens when they lose your coat and they treat you to a free table after flipping a shit a month. I'm sure droping the managers name. He is actually a pretty cool dude, shared a few drinks with him. But this care is deffinatly a rarity at pacha, more times than not, I am faced with horrible servie even in the VIP.
On another note Eco was real good to hear, as always, Marco was amazing but Tom blew me away, straight bombs, but I guess that has a lot to do with set times, I would like to see a set list
Erica, I'm eagerly awaiting a rant from you
All of the horror stories that you guys have talked about in the last three pages of this thread are precisely the reason why I had, once again, stopped going to clubs on trance nights. I love trance, and have never stopped listening to it, and it was my first electronic music genre. But I just can't put up with the bs, like I once did, especially when there are other edm genres that, while not without politics and dramas of their own, seem to have less of it to potentially ruin or, in fact, ruin a night. In fact, I wanted to go elsewhere on Friday (which is why I added my name to Roll Call so late, lol) but I did want to hear Marco, as I never had. Well, I was not disappointed, but, as someone already mentioned it, the set did not hold my interest the whole night (though that was in part because I was tired from work, and was tired of not being able to find any space to dance, later in the night). Went downstairs for an hour and a half, which I usually have not done when the main act starts spinning, at least not fo so long. I think, though, going downstairs helped because the music was so great and there was more room to dance and move around in, and that kept me from going home(speaking of which, Coast 2 Coast played "Home"? Aw,I must have missed it, when I was downstairs! Oh well, at least I did hear Delirium's Silence!) And I am glad I did not, because hearing Melt Into the Ocean (and having plenty of room to dance to it
) made the on and off again reluctance and apprehension of the days leading to Friday worthwhile.
But, yea, I am so glad that both Ferry and Armin will be spinning at venues other than Pacha. Because I think I would have rather just stay home those nights, respectively.
so far i havent had any bad nights at pacha for the 4 times i been there.. its what you make of it! end of story.. i dont need any room to dance or a to have a good time. for me all i need is too here the track playing and thats it! i could be anywhere in the club as long as i here the tracks i will love it! thats what it comes down to !
from reading the above stories im really sorry you guys went through it! but stop if you really going to the club for a particularly reason ( i hope for the beats) then it shouldn't be a hard time at all! this year im putting 100% into making trance music available in clubs! i hope you all are with me and have the same passion as i do! i have dom and bo behind me! (filo and peri) and im gonna make a statement this year ! joim my movement on facebook ! link on my profile!

Don't know his TA name though.
Awesome videos always.
No offense, but its to be expected at that place. I limit my Pacha NYC nights anymore. The place always changes the rules, everytime they just randomly make stuff up. People always get booted for stupid stuff, its just how that place is. It makes sense b/c a lot of the mgmt/staff ect. are from the days of SF. I'll see you all at Ferry fri.
Hey everyone,
First off i would like to thank everyone that came out on friday to listen to us open, what an amazing experience that was! Dj Eco took over after us and started off with a track that just set the mood! He takes you on a journey with his sets, they just flow. And for the Swedish House Mafia being in the city at the same time, we packed the place out! Marco V's performance was unbelievable with Tom doing an amazing job closing. Tom had the whole place place going "one more track!!" towards the end haa
Here is our track listing for opening set
Take care!
Harji & Watson
I had a sick night, that place was poppin all night long awesome sets from everyone, really eclectic sets, the progression was perfect.
As to the drama people experienced, I guess i'll be the only one to defend the club... think of their position, they run a business which often is predicated on maintaining certain decorum. They never said no sneakers or t shirts to enter, all they asked was that for VIP you be dressed appropriately. I dont see this as being shitty by them at all. image is very important for the longevity of a club. thats my 2 cents.

My opinion on the matter is that the club should maintain a certain level of consistency. Its never a problem to ask people to dress in a certain way if thats the way it is EVERY weekend.
But, how are you going to kick out someone like Mike, who has been up there a thousand times, wearing a similar attire, and then expect him to just "know" that on this particular night, there is a "different" dress code? ridiculous that he was removed, especially when he has spent a lot of money in their establishment, and has never been told otherwise of the attire expectation changes (if there were any at all...they could have just been being d*cks, which is evern worse).

Fortunately, this time I didn't have an issue with Pacha VIP or security, etc. From what I can remember, it was an awesome awesome crazy time
wow dude that sucks.
I wonder how Pacha will be like for Friday with Damian Lazarus Troxler and JAMIE JONES (L)
I pray none of this wack shit happens there. The techno crowd def doesn't "dress up" .

Also, if they had a specific mez dress code for that night, they should have said it before taking the res. We also had a table and spent a significant amount. They did not mention there is a dress code for the mez for this night. You have no idea what you are talking about. |

| Originally posted by Chaska The techno crowd doesn't get bottles either, lol. Is this dress code thing just for the tables or for the whole club? I don't think I'm going either way, as much as I love Blk|Market parties, I don't support club bullshit which is the reason why I haven't been to Pacha by choice in over 2 years. |
obviously someone wanted to just use the word decorum
