what's up with all these parties being on sale for all of 2 seconds before the price gets jacked up?!?!

Posted by element-y on Feb-12-2010 16:06:

for this event making it seem like its selling out isnt a smart idea. its trance at a massive pool with a massive competing event at nikki beach. dont be to cocky with the prices guys. work out a drink tab deal with the hotel cost or what not - i dunno. But if this sells for more than 35 presale it will bomb.

Usually how it works is that each allotment of tickets sold have a price. For example, the first 100 tickets are $20, next 100 is $25, etc. They just don't raise the prices for the fun of it.

Snap! Why didn't I think of that? Thought maybe I would pick one or the other when I got to South Beach, but can probably buy tix now to both for less than one would be by itself later (if they're not sold out by then)!

Would love to see Christopher Lawrence here

This! With all these artists playing in other locations, would be neat if they got CL. Plus its scary now since again its a large location and they all are playing in other places. Dont think they will add a super maintream heavy hitter, so please promote this like crazy.

Posted by DjRow on Feb-15-2010 20:38:

count me in ofcourse

will be there helping out

Posted by Cosmique on Feb-16-2010 12:16:

i am sowas von in !!!!!

Posted by PatMcGroin on Feb-19-2010 13:40:

$30 now. i think you can count me out for this one. will be seeing all these guys elsewhere and fuck the price.

also heres the flyer...

Posted by element-y on Feb-19-2010 16:03:

already got my ticket but yea not sure this will work out as a successful event unless they have more. This would have been solid for a yacht party since its smaller capacity but that pool place is massive.

Posted by trancension on Feb-19-2010 16:56:

I wish I was going to this...but I'd rather not pay $30 more to see the same artists yet again. Damn shame though...would be nice to hit this up for my b-day.

I'm thinkin it will be packed with lines out the door...very solid lineup and the only Trance/Progressive pool party that I know of! This could be the one everybody's talking about next year, I'm in!

i think you're giving it too much credit, but hey, i hope you and everyone else who goes have fun.

Just got an email from someone who is very much in the mix of this show and we were talking all about plans in Miami. This is NOT confirmed but he was explaining to me that Armin & SVD could possibly be added to the line up. I promised him I not to mention his name so I did not. But that is the deal that is rumored on being worked out. Long time reader thought you guys should know.

ya...it's getting pretty close to put up or shut up time, isn't it? Are they really going to wait much longer to add names as big as SvD and AvB?

Posted by element-y on Feb-20-2010 01:33:

I see SVD possibly being here over Armin - though I would prefer Armin because I will be seeing Sander elsewhere. Plus Sander will have his own thing as well as being with PVD at Space. Whereas, looks like Armin will not be doing anything else even under an alias (least so far...)

But even with SVD, not sure that name will help bring in many. I think the name Gaia though an alias will have a massive pull from the online and word of mouth community over SVD.

But in either case, a big name is a must for this place. Its a beautiful huge place and if Armin is there under an Alias - oh hell yea! That place will be crazy and trance events like this will come back again and again.

Posted by DPetey81 on Feb-20-2010 05:54:

I think they can manipulate the size of the space a little. But, yeah, lots of competition that day. Hopefully, crowds won't wait two hours to get into djmag and will head over to this instead.

Whatever.

Menno.

Well, I can say this...when any of the following DJ's listed for this event come to Los Angeles, it goes like this:

So, if these DJ's pack the clubs here when they play individually, I don't see why they wouldn't pack a pool party in Miami when they're all on the lineup together! ...unless Miami is just backwards or something, but I have heard otherwise! I am just concerned about this much talent being near a swimming pool, hope everyone can swim...
