As for Ferry, awesome as always, really enjoyed the set and there was one song around 2:50 that made me lose my marbles, I don't know the name of it, but it was INCREDIBLE... Note to Burak: I don't think he played "24 Hours", I woulda gone apeshit if he did, and pretty sure I didn't hear it, but heard a song with a similar bassline...

you can blame me for that id, not sure wtf i was thinking. it was a really popular track that i have been/was hammering but cant remember now. waiting for the vids.

Awesome he shouted out the TA forum!

Got there @ 12 to catch the last hour or whatever of John's set. Wasn't anything epic, but was definately solid and enjoyable.. had the crowd going! Didn't even mess with the coat check line...Looked redic. I don't know if anyone noticed but the girl next to me and I both looked at eachother and said speaker definately popped... 15 mins into Ferry's set (1:15 or so). Ferry played a great set, good mix of tunes and classics like Fire ect. really got everyone going bonkerz. The Nokia theater walls are all lined with acoustic panels, so that was a plus. The lighting setup was weak IMO. No lazers.. I stayed till 4, good times. I'd go to the venue again, Made always knows how to throw a party.

Ciao.

Wow, didn't expect to see Understatement on the T/L, even though it is a remix. I hope he plays the original in DC next weekend.

i didnt hear anything in that video except the music, or am i still drunk?

Fantastically awesome and awesomely fantastic! I got the Ferry heart when he saw me holding up his red "F" shirt. That totally made my night...well, everything did. Great to meet and see everyone. Felt sorry for Nic getting kicked out, and a special thanks to Vinny for hanging with me at the end for coat check. Wish my man was there. But otherwise, fucking great as usual! What was the song AFTER "Brain Box"? Oh, and glad that Ferry knows we are insane!

I didnt hear it either

Posted by AY STAR on Feb-13-2010 22:24:

no everyone it wassent me who started the tiesto chant ha ha ha dam iam known for that but it was deff one of the idiots wearing a tiesto shirt. seriously i must have told like 2 or 3 of them your at the wrong party lol

as for the night got to the venue like 11:15 the line to get in was 5 min coat check was another 30 min BIGGGG FU to whoever is in charge of that, like eco said they had the same line for the coatcheck as for the bar and place to get something to eat so you didnt know which line you were on but yea something deff needs to be done about that

dahlback was ehhh i never heard him before but to me his set was up and down and nothing crazy

ferry was on point i really enjoyed his set, if you look at that tracklist, yea he played alot of his own stuff but atleast its his newer stuff, if he would have played all those old songs (punk, rock your body rock, sythansia etc etc) to me i would have been bored and left so i give ferry credit for playing his newer songs. only songs i didnt like was fire and beautiful other then that his set was great really good flow

the venue itself to me reminds me a lil big of webster hall but with lots of seating, the sound in there was deff clear and crisp but the volume was deff a lil low espeically during the vocals so yea i hope they fix that, those LED lights were crazy tho, some lazers would have been dope also

and deff big props to ferry for shouting out ta and playing kosheen-catch deff wassent expecting that...i think he even said something about electric zoo anyone catch that?

but yea great night i brought out a old friend of mine and he said hes happy to get back into the trance scene and he had a great time,
as did myself with all the ta's and just the whole crowd was really cool for the most part....lots of young cute girls walking around also wa wa wa woooooo...next time i gotta grab one and take them up to the movie theater seats and make out with them just like the good old days
so yea besides the coatcheck and the sound this place and the night was deff a great party cant wait to see prydz there and ferry at wmc

LOL I turn around and the bartender is like SCREAMING at Ravi...what a psycho a$$hole

I had sooo much fun last night! From start to finish had a blast with friends and the BEATS woot! Didnt hear much of Dalhback bc I was either in coat check (which was about 20 mins for me) or catching up with friends, but he seemed to do a decent job opening up. Jason said he played an uber-short set, which explains why he was already on the floor hangin out at 11:45ish LOL....I didnt even see him play!

Ferry was da BOMB. Over a decade into his career and he still is showin us who is BOSS. One of the better sets he has played in NYC for sure, he kept the tempo and the beats BANGIN, especially after the first 30 mins OMGGGG He played all three of my requests in a row, including "Kosheen- Catch You" which made my heart beat about a thousand miles an hour. UGHHHH WHAT A TRACK!! I was completely freaking out at that point. I never thought in a million years I would hear that track live, and it was such an amazing moment!!

I pointed out on his forums that everyone on TA was asking for that toon, so I *think* with that and Ravi's persistence (LOL!) he got the point that TA was in da houseeeee! I love that he plays attention to his fans, he is just amazing Tried to go say hi afterwards, but got mobbed by crazy drunk Polish people with t-shirts who quite literally swallowed me. There were Polish people over me, under me, around me, LOLOLOL! They were like "ooh sorry but we looove FERRY and we come from Poland!!" LOL I have ZERO luck saying hi to Ferry in NYC, sheesh! Too many crazies!

Venue: loves it. Great place, coat check sucked (but after M2 last weekend, it was nothing in comparison I guess), and perfect room to dance. I agree with other comments that the vocals in the sound were very weak. What was NOT weak: the drinks! Holy shiza, my bartender was trying to get me drunk i think LOL. Red bull and vodka = vodka with a *splash* of red bull @ Nokia.....LOL. Worth the $$!! Nice bathrooms with lotsa stalls so there wasnt the usual insane lines like @ Roseland (huge deal as I hate missing good times for LINES of women fixing their makeup or snorting coke in the bathrooms or whatever it is that they are doing that takes them an hour each...annoying!)

Had such a blast just laughing and dancing the night away, it was one of the better nights I have had in NYC in a looooong time Realllyyy awesome that he shouted out TA and actually got on the mic a couple times.....haha do I need to say it again: I LOVE this man!!

Trance Addicts

Im so glad Ferry said Trance Addicts.com if not i would have never found this site and the track list. I had a lot of fun that night. IMO John was pretty good and Ferry is well a Trance Master. Coat check was a pain though, but w/e. I was wondering does anyone have John Dahlback's track list?

Posted by bryan0 on Feb-14-2010 00:41:

This is my first post on TA and last night was the first time I saw Ferry. I got up to the front row, a little to the left on the dancefloor at 10:15 and stayed in one spot til 4. It was worth every second of the wait to be so up close. Jason and John did a good job setting the mood (although John seemed a little repetitive). Ferry came on a little weak but quickly got into it, it was awesome that he said NY was insane. He played every song I hoped he would and then some. I would've gone crazy if he played It's Time but that cannot be expected.

I'm not sure if it's because of where I was but although the sound was clear and crisp, it wasn't loud enough. The speaker under the stage in front of me was definitely popping under the hard bass. It wouldn've been cool if they had more lights on the crowd. The security seemed pretty cool and they weren't on a power trip like they sometimes are at other places. I would've rather bought a 20oz water for $10 than buy the mini water for $3.

Ferry is awesome for walking to the edge of the stage and signing people's stuff after the show. I saw one guy give him his iphone to sign and Ferry was like "Are you sure??" Overall one hell of a night. I can't wait to see him again at electric zoo.
