Well i saw it a while ago, but i'm pretty sure there aren't any more scarey bits... The whole movie does have this "creepy" atmosphere about it tho

god, i noticed... i've been extremely jumpy the past hour cuz of the movie + all these weird sounds... goddamn, david lynch, why do you have to be so good at this movie making stuff... but yeah, it's not really making much sense so far, got an hour to go.... heh, you can tell i don't get out much. MUST FINISH.

*sigh....

the movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long...

i spent 2 hours 50 minutes and i still have 24 minutes to go... man, this is the biggest headtrip ever... i'll finish it tomorrow... and then i'll read this...

Explains almost everything.

Yeah it seems the most likely explanation is that the first 2/3 of the movie is all a dream.

You notice how in the first 2/3 of the film Naomi always looks glam but in the last 1/3 she is not so glam looking because she is not dreaming anymore. And once she realises that the "deed" had been done, ie the cowboy has killed her lover, she kills herself out of despair.
That surprise giant critter at the restaurant is Naomi Watt's subconsiocus hoping that something would happen to the cowboy who she paid to kill her lover.

It all makes sense once you know that it was all a dream since you can be other characters in a dream. And your hopes and ambitions are often played out in dreams.

I've only seen it once. Hope to catch it again soon so I can analise it some more.

fucking hell, i finally finished watching it.... man, i suspected it was either a dream or a drug trip...

so the monster is her subconsciousness? nice... i think the box represents her mind......

man, i'm headfucked right now....

I agree with the dream theory. I also think that EVERY character in the dream is really someone else. Most of the women are the 2 "lesbeans", and the guys in black following them around are the 2 cops.

In the end though, the entire thing was a theatre of the absurd performed to an empty audience hall.
