-No more caffeine until Maimi. Adds a real boost then when you introduce it back into your system.

-Very little alcohol between now and then. Lower tolerance is easier on the wallet.

-Start cutting off a few minutes of sleep each night, so that any possible nap down there becomes a little more effective.

-Gotta start eating a little less, so the body gets used to running on less fuel.

-No more spending extra money.... on anything.

best response ever!!!!!!

here's what i do, and this is pretty much year round but i try to diet more before Miami, epecially the 3 weeks before WMC

Monday: usually recovering from the weekend
Tuesday: I teach an indoor cycling class
Wednesday: Run about 4 miles
Thursday: Cycling class
Friday: I teach yoga
Saturday: usually hike for about an hour/hour and a half in Runyon Canyon, lots of steep inclines
Saturday into Sunday at least 2 times a month, dance all night at clubs and afterhours
Sunday: fun day

i'm a vegetarian which helps and i try to never eat after 6 pm and try to have lunch be my largest meal filled with complex carbs and dinner is usually protein and veggies or salad.
i will fall off the wagon here and there but everything in moderation is key.
doesn't help that Girl Scout cookies just came out and i bought 6 boxes of Samoas, lol

GYPSYGIRL.... I had the same thought when I got my Girl scout Cookies... I was like oh no .. I am on WMC diet.

Trying to sneak in one or two a day though

I work out all year long.. but then again My job is so sedentary ..I sit 12hr a day. SUCKS.

What I do different for WMC is :

Protein Shakes for Breakfast.
Lots of little meals, ie, yogurt, Weight Watchers Cheese, Apple Slices,
I have such a sweet tooth.. so only one sweet a day.. imagine breaking a ferrero Rocher into 4... yeah its not easy/
1 Soda a day and 2 Liters of water a day.
Working out 60 min on my days off. 30-40 mmin of cardio on work days. even when i am sick, tired, and just wants to sleep.

And constantly model some outfits so I can encourage myself to continue diet.

Its not easy though....especially since I eat out a lot. So trying to mostly share an app...and then have a salad.

While everyone around me is eating and having fun.. But WMC mode all the way.

I was planning on it (gym/eating properly), shed some extra winter weight. Got two weeks int o it...

...and then the Olympics happened. I know it sounds like a non-event right?
Canada-Russia tomorrow and I will be pounding them back, hopefully until Monday morning. I imagine US hockey fans (some who think they've already won) are also watching the games. The other events I can get by without getting smashed.

Oh and I guess St. Patty's day is before. Add on a couple thousand colories there.

'fuck that im not gonna deal with it' mentality.

yup, I can understand that. Maybe tasers would work.

For eating, I just try to be reasonable about my meat portions, lots of fruits, veggies and complex carbohydrates.

For working out, I do about 6 hours of Muay Thai per week.

I like to keep it simple.

*this is not my WMC diet/routine

32oz gatorade, preferably G2 now. will kill your hangover. drink it before you go to sleep

You guys are really that consumed by another guy taking his shirt off at an event? Sorry but that is just an absurd complaint, you're at a club at 8am, with 99% of the people on a substance including yourself, music blasting, hot, dancing all night, and you're upset that a guy takes his shirt off?? I think once you enter into an event like this your "manner tolerance" sort of broadens.

I can't imagine a lot of you going to a place like Berghain in Berlin. You'd run out of there in 2 minutes into a shower for 5 hours if shirtless guys bother you.

PS:
Yes, I'll be on the terrace for WMC, most likely shirtless, and dancing my ass off to a Mathhias Tanzmann or a Joris Voorn.

Clubs are meant to be clothed events.

Take the shirts off at Ultra, the pool parties, wherever else. But clubs are supposed to be clothed events...

How you should treat your body all year round, not just for WMC!

I'm particularily speaking in reference to the terrace.

Typical club yes I agree. The terrace no way.

I'm just doing a shit load of steroids!

Yesterday I ate kind of bad & was gonna do some extra cardio but did a extra clen instead.

I'm looking GOOD!

Oh yeah and this isn't my WMC diet either!

Mr. Fist Pump will most likely be next to me at many of these events quite possible shirtless as well. All the while I call out those hot chicks with douchebags in the audience.

Posted by ZO3 on Feb-24-2010 16:06:

Why the girls won't go shirtless too ??

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Feb-24-2010 16:27:

Every year I say I will.. but every single year - i don't!

Instead I am going to take an aderall so it can suck the water out of me. I usually look skinny after that

Mondays: Masters swimming (80min)
Tuesdays: Circuit weights (90min)
Wednesdays: Masters swimming (80min)
Thursday: 5-6mile run
Fridays Off
Saturdays Usually Off
Sundays: 30-40 mile ride, sometimes do swim/ride/run or ride/run/ride/run.

Some times this schedule gets over turned in favor of some single-arm bicep-curls though and its beginning to show a bit lol. I have to get in the best shape possible prior to WMC. Not because of WMC but i have my first triathlon race of the year the first weekend of May. With the amount of damage Im going to do in Miami, I have to compensate! 4 weeks is not much time to get everything out of my system. But screw it, WMC is worth it every time!

Being broke as hell while trying to save for WMC helps eliminate any bad eating habits too. Cant afford the junk food!

Don't you feel like WMC is a good training for any Marathon??
I just get off of the gym and I did as many squats as possible to keep dancing for the whole day & nite !!

Posted by ThisIsTulsa on Feb-25-2010 04:18:

Hit the gym all year round but have a lil more excitment and energy in the gym this time of year. Seems like it's more fun to listen to podcast to while working out because your dreaming about dancing at WMC.

Posted by gypsygirl on Feb-25-2010 04:29:

had the worst lunch today, we had a potluck at work today and we had tons of bad for you foods: pastas, fried foods, breads, desserts, the works.......i had 2 plates and dessert! ugh, oh well, i'm gonna dance all night friday to lee burridge and danny howells but seriously, 1 step forward, 3 steps back, i'm still full and it's 8:30 pm. and i didn't work out tonight. bad sarah, bad!
