dear mrs. haus,

hello, salutations. I enjoy your posts, especially the latest where you referred to marijuana as mary jane.

seriously it really is the Montreal Diet... almost no other way to describe it..... I'm still recovering today, barely got any decent sleep... fml its going to be a long day.

It was a good game, with drama and nice ending...

But I honestly don't get why men's hockey would make us so proud.

It's not even a real team. A bunch of guys that never played together, assembled a week before, that can barely get their shit together by the finals.

Yes they are individually the best in what they do, but as a team, it can go in any direction. It's not very different from an All Stars game.

MOst of the teams in Olympics work together for years in order to be the best.

This is just random lottery of talent put together.

thanks for returning this thread from rehab to hockey

'See your point but that tournament wasn't all-star calibre shinny hockey. And these teams have been planned out for cuuple of years now by its management/brass, with some obvious tweaks here and there.

But yeah, at the end of the day the players are right back to making their millions in the NHL and everyday guys like Brian have nothing to look forward to except the House room.

Planning a team for years doesn't mean shit if they don't practice together, get use to the system and build some kind of chemistry between each others.

It makes a good team on paper. That's all.

sure it wasn't a fluffy All-star game where nobody cares. I am not saying they aren't taking it seriously.

But I still think it's an insult to other teams that actually puts work and efort as a collective in order to qualify for being the best.

I think much has to do with the sport itself and, as you said, the drama of that game. I know I was watching the men's curling final while 'Haus was munching on candies all night but it didn't elicit the same feelings as this game did for me.

I think the bigger question is why success in sports makes us so proud.

Who are you trying to kid malek? You obviously hate men's olympic hockey because it's team CANADA and not team QUEBEC. Fucking separatist.

Thank you for making my life simpler.

many of us would have had a ho-hum attitude had that team steamrolled thru the tourney, probably. In any case we got to see top level players play for something meaningful over 10 days, with a superb ending, can't complain about that.

You get any Canadian team winning a cup [outside the Leafs] and you'll see 'some' of that nationalist fervor come back again, I'm sure......... separatists, notwithstanding
