found out around 9pm while we were eating our drunken smoked meat sandwhiches at scwartz (SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD when drenched in mustard!!) that vibe was not going to make it

as much as the initial shock/dissapointment that vibe cancelled sucked, i couldn't let something like that ruin my night. stereo is the reason why i came and that's where i was going to go

went back to the hotel and got everyone back in the mood

got to stereo around 130am to a bit of a line but as soon as it started moving we got in pretty quickly

i instantly fell in love with the new stereo right away, i didn't check my coat in for min because i had to do a complete inspection, and every little detail.

STEREO DOES IT AGAIN!!!

joubin and nicola torriero honestly blew me away. tribal, and ONLY tribal for the entire night, 7 hours straight...no tech, tech-tribal, techno, just fucking full on out driving tribal just the way i love it best!!

im even going to go as far as to say he would've out preformed dj vibe, and he's my #1...

this was my favourite stereo experience for SURE, not one thing i would change about it

im definately going back, and soon. just watching everyone in motion jamming to tribal from the upper lounges was a magical feeling. oh and the sound system, tweaked even better than before if you can believe it!! everything was spot on, i didn't even THINK to use my ear plugs, just crisp, finely tuned...no where else can you feel the music better, just pulsating through every inch of your body

after partying at stereo on saturday it made me realize how bored i am getting of the toronto sound

TRIBAL IS NEVER DEAD!!! STEREO IS LIVING PROOF!!! it really is a temple of its own sort

Nice. Considering you guys went to hear tribal, it's probably a good thing Vibe canceled. I highly doubt you would have heard this kind of a set from Vibe.

Also, I can't think of a better place to hear tribal than Stereo. Music like that needs to be heard on a massive sound system, in the right atmosphere (re: an afterhours), and preferably past 6am.

Conspiracy theory of the day: Vibe was never scheduled to play, just paid to have his name used in a plan to get everyone to understand why Stereo is using the secret DJ concept.

AWESOME night 4 star club! I just wish we brought in our cameras to document the good times...we were aware of a no-camera policy but i saw several cameras throughout the night...are they allowed now or just very sneaky people?

im still having flashbacks and memories of how intense this party was, it was balls to the walls (literally LOOOOOL) insanity, pounding drums, percussion rippling off each corner of the room, tribal chants, animal calls, shirts literally being ripped off (cribby )

and as for the dj booth up at the top, i fucking love it, watching the masters at work from above, thats how it should be

Stereo (with two "e"s) has Canada's best soundsystem and one of the best in the world. The amount you pay for sound equipment doesn't mean it's the best, the layout of the room combined with other factors are important in determining sound.

You could put the most expensive soundsystem in a room with poor acoustics and produce a terrible sounding room. Stereo is renowed for sound because they always had great people like Angel Moraes (current) or David Morales, Shorty, etc continuously tweaking the sound. The room is something you have to hear for yourself.

As for Space, I don't think it has the best sound in Miami, I think Park West has a better soundsytem. But that's just me...

I've been to Park west and did enjoy every element of the club. Probably the best night at a club for me... well I got to hear Armin and Markus together. That was in 2008, wish I could go back

sooo Stereo has the best acoustics and also sound engineers are top notch.. I guess that is definitely a factor. Wonder what speakers they use.. I hear Dynacord is very good as well at Funktion-one.

I concur. Parkwest felt and sounded like the "Stereo" of Miami.

I was going to post something quite similar to this.

Although I have not been to Space.... I can not compare the two... however the sound, acoustics, vibe at Parkwest was amazing.
