Without question it's ramen noodles for me. Although I havve mastered them & it has been a long time since I've used the "flavour packets" that come with them. It's all proper seasonings from the spice rack with a couple of eggs dropped in for added nutrients for me. I guess even when I'm going the slovenly way with food I still need to attempt to perfect it to the best of all possible circumstances.

On my shelf it's consistently either these fuckers:

Or these slop-bombs:

But I don't see myself ditching the ramen any time soon lol.

lol! I don't know why this surprises me about you Lisa...maybe because I thought lunchables were only purchased by one's mother to put in your backpack on the way out the door to school...

I just moved a couple of weeks ago and seriously have nothing bad or strange in stock. I don't even think I have KD.

yes!! that's the best way

those seasoning packets are prety much 99.9% sodium; you can make them tastes waaaaaaaay better according to your own taste and availability of spices. for me i use S&B spice, chili oil, spicy soy chili sauce and i usually add some nappa or random greens to the boil, and a frozen seafood mlange if available in the freezer...and cracking eggs in is amazing because it gets stuck in between all the noodles and forms its own lil ball instead of dispersing everywhere in the pan! mmmmmmmm making me want some right now for breakfast!!

but recently i've stumbled upon just buying plain jane noodles in a big packet from the chinese supermarket, doesn't come with any spices or seasoning packets, and i think they are even healhtier since they dont have that "glue" stuff that holds the noodles in those ramen packs together (make sure you rinse that shit off good and use fresh hot water for your noodles!!). i love these noodles because IMO they are better quality than the ones found in the instant noodle packs and you can customize them to your own preference/taste...

ok as far as those foods i have in stock but wish i didn't....frozen pizza (delissio - soooo much salt ), frozen burritos, michelinas, chips & popcorn

lol I typically don't have them in my fridge, but they were on sale at the grocery store so I bought a bunch.

I have a bunch of tv dinners in the freezer too, but I've been pretty good lately. I haven't touched one in months b/c I've been making my lunch.

Good for you on not having anything bad in stock. When I move to Toronto for the summer I'm hoping to start fresh as well and buy all healthy. Hopefully it'll last!

I have a few horrible foods that are always in my kitchen, waiting for the day Im too lazy to make something to eat. Theres ALWAYS left-over pizza in one of the fridges at home, Pizza Nova, Dominos, Pizza Pizza, no matter what, I know I can look in my fridge and heat up a slice or two of left-over pizza.

Hot Dogs, unfortunately, have been a lifelong staple. I wont eat a hot dog for months, but every once in a while, Ill slam through 8 of them in a week. The 4 remaining dogs invariably spoil in the months that follow, to replaced with a fresh pack as soon as I notice, waiting to be cracked open for another week-long binge. My favourite are "No-Name" brand, and I will ONLY eat hotdogs with value-brand, or wonder buns. Even though I only eat them every few months, a package is always available for times of desperation.

But one thing that is ALWAYS in my freezer, and that I eat almost weekly:

These

and...

They were on sale for a dollar on during No Frill's dollar days. That the only way I justify buying crap, if it is very cheap crap.

There purely for 2 am drunken munchie satisfaction.

SAME. Sooooo good. For some reason I accidentally called them Dr. Okie pizzas once. My roommate laughed so hard at it, that we've decided to call them that ever since

and def. KD. KD is my hangover saviour.

Lol, I believe the rule of thumb is that every 3% off the normal store price counts as 5% lower sodium content. So if the Bagel Bites are 25% off you can mow down 3 boxes of them and it's still considered healthy eating.

I haven't eaten much junk food at home since summer... but I have a huge weakness for when when cans of Chef Boyardee of Beef Ravioli goes on sale at 99 cents a can. I load it with Ketchup before I heat it up in the nuker.

No no no, lol.

The brand name IS "No-Name", it has yellow packaging. Its Loblaws private label, I believe it replaced Presidents Choice.

Posted by Mach X on Mar-09-2010 07:13:

I have grown from my KD days and feast on this! It's not the worst perhaps, I eat WAY worse, but as a quick tasty snack that I later regret but will do again and again.... this is probably it!

I can easily eat two packages of these, quicker to make than KD too! If you want a good combo, mix one chicken and one broccoli...perfection!

Zehrs Superstore had them on sale 1/2 off last week, I bought a box of 12 @ 80cents a package!

I miss the old one they had, Tomatoe Fusili.. can't find it anywhere any more

i know what No Name brand is. thats the one i got which is why i said i bought a value brand today and in brackets i specified the one i got which is "no name". No Name brand did not replace Presidents Choice. they both still exist.

LOL, clearly, I wasnt paying close enough attention when I read it the first time. My bad.

President's Choice still exists. They've started to market themselves as slightly better than No Name, as an actual brand, yet still affordable.
