well well well....... this shows once again how far away i live from trance culture.. there ARE no trance vids to be seen around here! discounting the HUGE ones like PvD and ATC. i had no idea pioctto went mainstream.

I neva said Magik 6 & ISOS2 have the same tracks. Old doesn't = bad. If u have every Tiesto live set in 00,u'll notice he plays the same records. C'mon he plays Voyage on his most recent set...dutch dimension. I like Voyage but its kinda played. Tiesto & AVB beat Eternity to death then Pvd starts playin it in Dec.

Sorry Twilo if Im getting some shit started again here, but...if you say this how can you criticize Oakenfold for laying the same choons, if everyone is recycling so readily. YES I know he played Ubik alot, AND Silence(so did tiesto, and many many other djs for that matter) AND I know that Bullet in a Gun sucks my ass. But if all djs are having trouble coming up with new good shit, how do recycled tunes fit into the larger picture? Aren't these DJs, in effect doing the same thing that the radio could be doing? Albeit on a smaller scale? Personally I think that having songs play themselves out is almost a factor of life, if the radio doesn't do it, you will do it to yourself, tastes change and so does the industry. Now all Im looking for is a good Thong song trance remix...now THAT would be fresh! peas.

trance goin commercial?? lol nope trance doesnt go commercial...commericalism goes to trance.

No matter what anyone tries to do everything in all shapes and forms becomes commercialized. I do not believe that it's necessarily a bad thing, or will eventually make trance vaporize, because its commercialization which provides people with a basic, simple incite on whatever is being shown. Without this incite, all of those who never been exposed or really understood anything about trance, never went to a rave, and don't live in a mainstream environment, would never get the chance to hear it. Commercialized trance, in my opinion should be viewed not as a threat to the utter demise of trance, but for what it is; the outer layer of trance, what the radio listening public hears. Sure all us trance addicts may think its crap, but its the mainstream stuff, for people like I described above, that for some sparks an interest. And that interest can grow to passion with such tools available like napster and audio galaxy. That's exactly how my passion for trance started. I heard a few tracks on the radio and I liked what I heard. Found them on napster and got advise from people on what they thought was good, then ventured off to do my own thing, find what I liked. Of course now, after learning through digging and finding SO many treasures, I too cringe sometimes when I hear some of the crap stuff on the radio. But I also got some respect, because it gave me the incite I needed to spark an interest inside me which continues to grow and has become a passion and a part of my life which I can't go a day without!!!...I'm getting way to deep here... I'm done now...

Not much more to say except trance will only be commercially 'vaporized' if an individual allows it to be so. That only happens if you have exausted your own effort to find new artists perhaps, and thats when I feel where maybe some of the frustration surrounding this topic comes from, or maybe people just wanna bitch All that cheezy radio crap trance doesn't bother me that much because I am knowing and beginning to become aware of what I know as good trance, awesome breathtaking tracks, nothing but the real stuff..ya know? Let them have their peace because they serve a purpose like everything else...well...maybe not, i dont see why the world needs all those crappy boybands...

agreed. hehe and about those boybands...other younger teenage boys and girls need people to look up tooo...awww..cause they don't have anyone else to look up to...how sad. the world's wastin' this huge chunk of money on these boy and girl bands...
