Looks like I'm going to take the trip down south for this one. I haven't been to a rave in a while and I figure I need to see an LA massive at some point...

Posted by Thriller on Mar-30-2010 05:00:

Sasha & John Digweed please

Are the rumors of Villalobos finally coming to US true? If so would be amazing to have him there

line up announced

confirm?

Posted by modthispny on Mar-30-2010 07:35:

that sounds pretty legit, but other than emery and avb, trance will be outnumbered. (99.9% sure ATB will play fri night).

avb will definitely do main stage, not sure about emery however so curious to see how the map out the flow of the event.

last time i saw armin at a rave was tao 2 yrs ago so i'm definitely looking forward to it

Posted by sako487 on Mar-30-2010 07:39:

Not looking to avb at all, monster massive was typical ASOT bullshit. Looking forward mainly to gareth emery tho!

Good, I'm tired of seeing Infected Mushroom at almost every Insomniac Event. Its bad enough having to deal with Bamaca open up, but unfortunately that can't be changed.

LMAO i swear that guy has opened up all insomniac events for the past 3+ yrs loll.

Posted by 72hrpartyanimal on Mar-30-2010 17:50:

he deserves to open up. he's one of the head street promoters and resident djs for Insomniac and doesn't get paid to open. Its a privilege for the hard work he puts in to all the events he helps to promote.

Don't like it? don't go!

fyi, he's a friend of mine, so I know very much of the hard work he does.

eh, its not that I don't "like" his sets, its just that I think there are better openers out there.

For example, Tiesto at the Shrine Saturday, Bamaca was playing with Richard Durand in San Francisco that night, and the guys who played before Dada Life (where Bamaca played the previous two nights) were much more enjoyable.

Settle down, no ones attacking your friend, as mod said, he's seen him open for the past few years, and we would just like variety.

my apologies. didn't mean get upset like that. thats my broski and just like when we're promoting, we tend to watch each others backs.

after your further explanation, your point does makes sense.

yeah... sorry for the blow up. Drew is also good friends of ours. he started out when we started out, hence why you always see pics of any of us. just taking care of each other.

again, sorry for the outburst.

I think it's OK to reward a DJ like that if he actually fits with the other music of the night. If he doesn't, the no. Don't force any DJ into a lineup unless you have to.

LA clubs/events are notorious for it.

suck on these ballz Dave T. they are nice and sweaty with a side of crabs from Miami.

but yes. point taken. remember, that Bamaca has the opening slot, when no one is even there except for candy kids rollin at 4PM. Its more of a filler spot. A sound check you could say. Last year, the following DJ was Zabs.

Posted by DaveT on Mar-30-2010 22:05:

You are up in the bay area. If you need some guy to suck on your balls, it shouldn't be hard to find someone who will and you don't need me.

Suuuuuurrrre

Some of the rumored artists are already confirmed through their websites

Posted by Maka08 on Mar-31-2010 01:55:

SHM confirmed for Friday the 25th from Myspace.

Posted by xCxStylex on Apr-03-2010 23:02:

Is that why he's always around?

As a bedroom dj, I can completely understand with what he does, and I'm proud of him as well. I would do the same for a chance to play what I love for a crowd

However... his music doesn't exactly match up with who he's opening for, like Lange/Ferry/Aly & Fila. I'm like........ wheres the trance at?
