this has nothing to do with Georgia, few weeks ago Russians killed a very known chechen rebel known for past terrorist acts so this is a retaliation by them

Originally posted by Skipper I went to Moscow last year and actually passed through one of the stations hit this morning. Between this and the bombing on the Nevsky train between St Petes and Moscow (which I took when I was there) - it is weird to think how little I knew of the instability there when I visited.

Originally posted by Xavier Moriarty open your eyes people, today it happened in russia, how long do you think is it gonna take for those extremists to start detonating in our own neighborhood???

Originally posted by Abercrombie We took care of some of them with the Toronto 18. We need help of the friendly moderates from the inside to weed out the extremists. It's that tiny minority who generate the worst image in a community, and they need to be weeded out.

One man has been convicted, four more have pleaded guilty, and the group's leader has been sentenced to life in prison. Six more are awaiting trial. Seven had the charges against them withdrawn or suspended, but the media are not allowed to report why according to Canadian law.

These are kids at a transition, between Islamic society and Western society. A lot of people will get militarized if they're unsure of their own identity. They're just young and stupid. If you're 17, bored, restless, you want to meet girls hey, be a radical."

Originally posted by Xavier Moriarty yet, almost nobody gives a fuck about this, on a day to day basis. you say minority and i agree on that too. but, whats 1% of one million??
Chechens are not responsible for this as real Chechen population is tired of war and are more concentrated on rebuilding and finally raising their kids. Take a look at the rebuilding process in Grozny that Russia has funded or the mosque thats being build courtesy of the Russians that exact replica of the one in Jordan.
In the past few months there have been numerous Chechen rebels destroyed and every time there was presence of Arabic militants amongst them. At one time a computer was captured and on it was spreadsheets containing transfers of funds from Europe, Middle East and Georgia(who's economy consists on nothing but handouts from US).
The people responsible for these acts may be by nationality Chechens or Ingush but they're mere puppets and are paid off by individuals wanting to destabilize Russia and reignite the Chechen conflict.
RIP for the people who have lost their lives.
I hope the retaliation will not cost innocent lives.
this is where my family works. park kultury. on the videos on russian channels they showed our office. first half of today's morning was tough on me and family. i go thru that station every single time i go to work in moscow. also walked thru avtozavodskaya back in 2004 a few hours before the explosion. it's on days like today i feel safe in richmond hill.

Bomb explodes in Athens, kills one
quote:
A bomb exploded outside a building in central Athens on March 28, killing a 15-year-old boy and injuring his mother and sister, police said. The woman, who was slightly injured, and the girl, whose injuries were more serious, have been taken to hospital," said the police official who declined to be named. Police said the victims were Afghan immigrants. The bomb, which went off outside an association for business management, also damaged cars and adjacent buildings. Police cordoned off the area and anti-terrorism police were investigating the scene. The explosion was the first in years to kill someone. Urban violence increased in the country after the police shooting of a teenager in December 2008. "There was no warning, there was nothing," a second police official said.
