Heard that the parking lot was full and that a lot of cars parked outside on the road illegally.
The energy was surreal. It was sardine packed around the dj booth. There was this guy putting a few blankets, not too far away from the dj booth, taking up premium dance space, and enjoying himself. Being a jerk at its best.

why didnt I go? why??? 
ahhh fuck, where did the day go??? one minute i'm packing the ice chest full of bubbly, the next i'm breaking it into pieces over the blanket, then before i know it the music stops and i'm looking for my keys in the grass if i wasn't so thoroughly smashed at our little patch of grass by the lake, i would have been ripping that crowd fully, but every time i went to stand up i felt like i was gonna collapse--in a good way 
and this was only half of our camp lol

not to worry though, there's always the season closer (and a couple boat parties, and an ad hoc midseason park party), but imo the opener is always the best. the weather is just warming up, the hills are perfectly green and everyone is just antsy to get outside
