When you're under anesthesia they steal your kidney. How else you think they can do it for so cheap?

| Originally posted by jonSun I had a root canal done on a tooth then never got it capped & crowned. So now its 5 years later & it had to be dealt with. My options were a bridge or implant. I chose the implant since it was the permenant option. I was awake the whole time but it was uncomfortable. I really don't understand how people with money can get their whole mouth filled with these things. Its gotta be hell doing a whole mouths worth of implants and it's also hell on the pocket book. So hopefully after a cap & crown 6 months almost $4k later ill have a permenant veneer tooth. any horror stories? any good stories? |

I'm glad I've never had problems with my teeth.

the worse part is anticipating whats going to happen. but once the doctor or dentist in this case explains to you what will happen if you don't have it done then you simply resign yourself to just do it. the whole mouth/teeth operation can be scary. anyways good luck.
I'm in the middle of having implant treatment after breaking a front tooth in a drinking-related accident. Several cowboy dentists recommended that I have root canal treatment so I did but it did absolutely nothing, the tooth was still broken so I saw a specialist dental surgeon who advised that I have an implant.
The broken tooth was pulled out nearly a year ago and I'm only just nearly ready for the final permanent fake tooth to go in. The procedure is so bloody long and I've had a denture in the whole time to cover the gap.
When I came in to have the tooth out, I was putting away my ipod and they said I could listen to it during the procedure if I liked. I said no, being polite, but then they said "no really, you should probably listen to something else during this." In the end the aesthetic was the only bad thing. The needle going into the gum is grim, and then the gum 'thawing out' afterwards sometimes made me feel quite nauseous but I couldn't feel anything whilst I was in the chair.
I've actually become very fond of being able to remove my front tooth at will, it's a great party trick and grosses out pretty much everyone. I'm having the implant in next month and I'm actually going to miss having a denture, even though it's broken twice and I've lost it once.
The whole thing is costing 3.5k. Thanks Dad.
