the only problem I wished to point out (and i probably didn't make my point clear) was that Molson center is not big enough to hold the crowd that they usually draw for Cream

Cream was not a big party last year and this year if they don't bring big dj's it will be small again. I think they are trying to have people at the party only with Cream name. I don't know, maybe it will be a super good party, who knows?

Me I like Molson Centre but the only problem there is you can't have 2 different rooms. That's the only problem, ahh also it's expensive!

btw i didn't understand the 50 bucks thing , does it mean all the tickets will cost only 50$ ?

so we got no reason to buy them before the line-up is announced. that's a nice thing

ITS GOING TO BE REALLY HARD TO BEAT LAST YEARS PARTY, THAT WAS A GREAT LINE UP AND GOOD VIBE. TRUE I DONT THINK THEY WILL DRAW A BIG ENOUGH CROWD TO NEED A BIGGER VENUE, BUT AS LONG AS THE LINE UP IS DECENT WITHOUT ONE DJ SPINNING FOR SIX HOURS, IT SHOULD BE A GOOD TIME.
HERE IS MY PREDICTION ITS A LONG SHOT

EDDY JASMIN
MAX GRAHAM
PVD
XL

I KNOW THERE PROBABLY NO CHANCE VAN DYKE WILL BE THERE, BUT IM GOING WITH WISHFUL THINKING. IM SURE SOMEONE WILL FIND A DATE WHERE HE IS SPINNING SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT NIGHT AND POINT IT OUT TO ME,

PEACE

my prediction

eddie jasmin
max graham
timmo mass
seb fontaine

i think you guys are just covering your asses when you say that you are most concerned about vibe...

my prediction is the same as someone elses, all locals + max graham.

i think you all need to take a road trip down to TO to see deep dish, danny howells, avb + others all at the same party that weekend!

steve.

I agree that they're covering their asses, but it'll probably be true that the production value of this event will be top notch. And one can't forget that the locals we have in Montreal and Toronto are TOP notch, not amateurs like on the rest of the continent (for the most part that is)

and btw, NEVER tell a montreal person to go to Toronto, they'll take it as an insult and the argument will never stop. Montrealers are asses when it comes to that.. (except for me though, because I've lived (and partied) in TO for 2 years)..

And one can't forget that the locals we have in Montreal and Toronto are no short of amazing, not amateurs like on the rest of the continent (.. for the most part that is)

and btw, NEVER tell a Montrealer to go to Toronto (especially french ones), they'll take it as an insult and it'll result in an argument that'll never stop. Montrealers are asses when it comes to that.. (except for me though, because I've lived (and partied) in TO for 2 years).. honnestly, Montreal gets its fair share of international talent, so missing a party with howells or deep dish isn't the end of the world..

on a side note, if there's a party in TO worth attending (based on production value), it should be the Dose party next weekend with DJ Dan, Lafleche, S&H and more.. I'm planning on hitting that up

.. actually know that I think of it, I like the fact that Cream is being promoted as a 'party', not as a 'DJ show'. Personally I find there's nothing worse for the scene than DJ Shows like Delta Heavy does

and while I'm at it, I guarentee that if you show up to Cream (or any regular night at Sona/Aria) with a smile, you'll leave with a smile, that's what its all about

i cant believe you would even consider going to that shit hole they call toronto, whats wrong with you?

and whats this bullshit about covering our asses and the vibe?
to me the vibe is important especially if your not on crack, the vibe at swirl if anyone went was shit compared to other parties. there are to many ginos now and to many tough guys who arent there for the right reasons, and imo this is one of the reasons forza wasnt as good as it should have been, so unless youve been to the last 5 or so 514 parties and you can comment on the vibe, shut your fuckin piehole and go help clean up the garbage.

the garbage is all cleaned up, but thanks for the advice!!

and i think you guys really need to stop being so defensive about your 'scene' and parties.

some people need to learn to CHILL!

I went to Montreal a few weeks ago to play on a big party called Forza. In that same weekend was the Formula 1 Grand Prix so I picked the best time to visit Montreal. The whole city was dressed up for this weekend and the people are beautifull in this town. They are different from any other city in the world, pretty, friendly, classy and very openminded to music. I played from 01.30 till 07.00 in the morning and it was just great. I mixed different styles together like trance, techno, tribal and uplifting progressive and they wanted it all. It's great when I can play on a party where you can experiment a bit in your set and people appreciate it.

Have a great summer,
love,
Tisto.

MY PREDICTION:

cream is going to suck

cause 514 are shit and their productions are often really bad

Posted by ed on Jul-22-2002 01:12:

Posted by Biggy on Jul-22-2002 02:34:

Yeah! Where is the flyer?
Maybe a delay with the printer?

Posted by fastmp3 on Jul-22-2002 02:36:

sorry but we had a problem with the priting machine

Posted by delstar on Jul-22-2002 02:40:

impossible?

i saw a flyer on friday night

no lineup though

Posted by DARK MAN X on Jul-22-2002 03:09:

typical
they are guaging tickets sales, if they had a lineup why not announce it to help sell tix.

Posted by ZinG on Jul-22-2002 03:13:

will be sold out before the lineup

Posted by Biggy on Jul-22-2002 03:35:

Hummm, I think a bit the same!
When you have some good names, you want to announce them to sell more tickets!
