Absolutely no bottles containing liquid of any sorts is what the rule was for the entire last season on any boat I went on. No exceptions.

Fuck the boat cruises. I'll shell out $50 for 3 hours of entertainment if and when reports start pouring in that promoters and operators have cleaned up their act.

the sketch factor is always high on those boats lol like someone said - people treat it as an afterparty

ALSO, LOL at those who board with no sleep from night before, ate 20 pills and forgot to bring shades! HAHA...bug eyed mother ******s!!

Late departures are not always the fault of the promoters/boats.

Some things attendees could do to help everyone get out on the lake sooner.

- Be at the dock in line before the advertised boarding time.
- don't hang out in the parking lot with 100 other people until 5 minutes before the boat is *supposed* to leave, then show up at the dock
- Ladies, leave your purses at home or in your trunk.
- Don't bring bags/backpacks
- Bring ID and have it out
- Have your pockets empty and be ready to be searched

Nothing personal against you or Activate, but maybe to help on your points, promoters and boat staff can get their shit together sooner, and start boarding the thing and ADVERTISING an hour sooner boarding time. Departure times stay the same.

No exceptions. You miss departure time and thats that...........let a few miss the boat this season and see how early on the next few cruises people get their act together.

That way everyone will have plenty of time to get their shit together, and get their asses on the boat.

This needs to happen, and the precedent needs to be set. Sure, promoters will lose money on the first few boats they do this on, but they should be weighing it against the longer-term cost of people getting fed up with late departures and going on less boat cruises during the summer.

That's why a cut off time between departure and boarding works the best. If people miss the cut off time then its too bad! Others shouldn't have to suffer because of a few people who are irresponsible.

As for banning sunscreen/liquids. I'm guessing this has to do with people G'ing out. A good method for keeping everyone happy is to have a Sunscreen station on the boat for those that burn easily. Free Sunscreen

Also, I find hiring extra staff and security(searchers) for any event that's going to require fast entrance to a venue is a big bonus! It helps! It may cost more, but it makes things much more efficient.

For promoters, it is their responsibility to make sure people are aware of all the details. If people ignore or don't read these details then its their problem. They shouldn't complain if they're denied.

(cough-inducing side-note...) Dude... I went on the Amigos Canada Day cruise a few years ago (despite wanting to go on the Luke Fair one on the same day). Late departures and early arrivals irked me a lot last year too. And there are way too many... one weekend last year there were three cruises - I know people that went on all of them lol. Too much... too much.

I've only been able to experience two boat cruise seasons, (so I never got to experience them as being a "special event") but I definitely saw a difference between last year and the one before.

I actually really liked the Dirtycycle Night cruise last year... Toronto looks so beautiful from the lake at night.

Roaches and Junkies will be on a boat on my birthday so I'll be there. Victor Calderone on Canada Day sounds sha-weet, (and a good excuse for me to skip over-packed Guv the night prior). Other than that I don't plan on attending many unless the lineups are extra-special.
