Ahhhh I love SF!!!! See you guys tonight!!!
It's 2am and Sander just STOPPED playing after a 1:45 set. I feel sorry for my friend that spent an hour outside in line and had to pay$30 to get in
edit:
now I'm back at home looking up flights to LA tomorrow. Anyone want to share a 2-for-1 on Virgin?
1:45? That's weak. What happened? DJs usually play at least for Spundae. I was mezz for Dirtybird. At 2am, it was still packed to the core, and jumping.

| Originally posted by bigperf i had edited this post but once johnny posted afterwards, i went and deleted it. guess i was right. he's got 5 hours tonight. and if he played midnite-145 at sutra, he merely did the same thing last night. Fupaking, if the list you were able to get on was the one listed in theo's flier, with a short SVD set, you could have gone up to 414 and caught those guys from 2am until they finished. Ready for tonight! |

| Originally posted by fupaking I was on the Qool list. Not sure if that is the same...but all I got was a regular stamp. I went to 414 a little bit after, but I wasn't really feeling it too much. Who was there? It's too bad cause it was pretty nuts on the mainfloor. |

(or the opening dj's themselves of course!)

Johnny Monsoon played a dope opening set. As a matter of fact, I much preferred it over SvD's set. Great meeting you last night bro. I was a tad bit fucked up last night.

Unless they have a prior engagement in the a.m. or something, I would assume any music lover DJ would keep going. That's always the best news ever. "go as long as you want" W00T!

I usually just save wasting my time typing that out on posts where I know someone could try to run it....guess I should have this time. |

SvD played a nice SHORT set....I really feel bad for those who had to wait in line for who knows how long. They simply weren't letting people in but I am sure they had a reason.
All in all it was a good (early) night.
Well, I can tell you what I know,
I arrived at 10:59 pm and 30 seconds, I barely made it into the guest list line and got my stamp. My buddy was 5 min late so he had to wait in the GA line. Me being a good friends, and knowing we had time, I waited in line with him...That probably saved us $50 in drinks right there! (Thanks Ruby Skye!)
The line didn't budge and it was going around the corner. Sander showed up in his car at around 11:45. I had just checked before that and the main floor was half empty, the upstairs lounge thing, and the balcony deserted. After Sander entered, they started letting people through GA.
you decide what that means...
Ah, they don't normally do this, because it is Vegas shit, which works well for tourists who won't come back. Besides, here in San Francisco, if you let people wait outside for an hour, you are going to lose 1/3 of your alcohol sale.
Ruby Skye usually gets the crowd moving before the headliner come on stage. Sander is a pretty big DJ, don't understand why they didn't do that for him. That might be a reason why Sander spun a short set.

I don't think Ruby was intentionally holding the line. Can't say for sure but I've never seen them do it in the past. Ruby's a fu-fu club, yes, but not an LA or Vegas type club. But I could be wrong.
