I voted pop, because to me pop is a really big genre it includes the traditional boy bands, as well as all the falsly aggresive nu-metal bands, and the "punk(i.e blink 182 who think there punk etc). I really like real punk and metal but that shit just doesnt cut it. To me pop is anything fake, and manufactured in the studio.

1) Country, not blue grass coutry but the newer country crap. They always talk about their trucks, and how their wives left them. But bluegrass is alright.
2) Cheesy Rave tunes. Im sorry but, you definetly have to be on drugs to listen to some of those tunes. No offense to those who like it, but I really can't stand some of them.

some alternative (rock)is good. don't just listen to that shit they play in the radio just like trance. For example something nice and heavy Deftones - change. something just well beautiful. 3 libras by a perfect circle. my favorite song of all time still love trance but that song wow.

I totally agree with you about that classical music thing! But there's nothing wrong in having someone writing music for you: in this case, you're showing your vocal technique, not your composing skills (though I prefer people to write their own songs). Also, I believe there is one spark of art in pop music, which is actually j-pop (japanese pop) and some Brazilian pop (as far as I know). I got addicted to j-pop because of those several trance remixes from Ayumi Hamasaki, and today I listen to the original versions almost as much as trance. The lyrics are intelligent and the melody is often rich too (there are exceptions, obiously). Brazilian pop is also very interesting because it blends some of our native styles with everything that comes from other countries (including trance!).

It's hard to say that "I hate that style" because there might be something good about it. I usually don't like r'n'b, country and some commercial Brazilian music styles (there must be some crap for the masses, right?) but it doesn't mean I won't ever give it a chance. Where's r'n'b in that poll, by the way!?

Oh and how can i forget all that Girlband, Boyband S-Club something dirt or did anyone here in western Europe heard that latest "Popstars or Pop-Idol" craze?Its a show where the judges choose members for a future Pop band from people that come off the street.The band is launched strait into No.1 with some cheesy song and then few weeks later they fall apart!How low is that?

And someone should include Garage in that poll all that "Re-re-re-wind Aiya Napa-Aiya Napa say BO Selecta!" makes me laugh.

I live in Ireland in the midlle of this POP music world, the country where all those pop bands seem to come from, with UK garage just next door.and Limp Bizkit shit flowing from the US.
