no, they were equally "ugly", and yes there was. it was called hiring a talented singer to either sing the whole track or backup (but the backup being a heavy backup singing).

and then having said pop star go up and being the pretty popstar and lip sync to music.

or in the case of sabrina salerno & samantha fox. don't even bother to do anything, focus all marketing on the tits.

well trust me i didnt listen to pop ever, my whole life i listened to rock and hip hop. i divulged in some "electornica" through those years too. I never followed pop culture or fashion or who was what. All I am saying is that pop stars nowadays like gaga and kesha look terrible. at least madonna and spears and kylie's had a little bit of sex appeal. Gaga has a dick, Kesha looks like a slob and neither one of them can perform. So hwy o why do the have the spotlight.

You're right about the back up singer, but to have the spotlight you needed to look good. now all im saying is that you dont even need that. I dont see what the difference between kesha running around on stage and some next slob. neither one has talent or looks.

How the hell can you say she doesn't perform?

You said neither Ke$ha or GaGa can perform. GaGa is an amazing performer. Saying otherwise is just ignorant. You don't have to like her music to know that she's great at performing.

Why does GaGa bother you so much? You said yourself you don't listen to this kind of music, so what's the problem?

nothing really i just turned on muchmusic last night a little high and wanted to see whats popular these days. and i kinda laughed at today's pop stars, pop music just seems to gradually get worse. 80's you needed talent and good looks, 90's you needed goodlooks but didnt matter if you had talent, and nowadays you dont need either. I came to this conclusion and decided to share how i felt about it and see if anyone else agrees.

I guess not. no sweat of my back im still going to sleep pretty comfortably tonight

but no worries you seem to really dig gaga. you like what you like, and thats cool. I just think she recycles alot, steals quite a bit, and is pretty hideous.

btw, I hear you on the no looks or talent required by the artist, but it is obviously all about marketing now, which is a talent / skill.

Not really. I do enjoy her music occasionally, though. I find her hilarious; she's just a big troll. And the fact that she's really enjoying what she's doing is fun to see and hear. But I really don't listen to her that often. It's not my kind of music or the kind of thing I could listen to often.

I think everyone recycles and steals and I think attacking people based on their looks is immature. Also, while I think she's weird looking, that's not really a bad thing, and I don't think she's ugly. And, hell, even if she was, so what? What does looking good have to do with your music? Nothing at all. I prefer an "ugly" talented person over some photoshopped lip-syncher.

She has talent, she has fun, she makes her fans happy. Not sure why people feel the need to attack her so often.
