| Originally posted by Sentinal Quote of the night: Vince: "Wow, seriously FML right now" As we both sit in the back of the car that just reeks of puke (no gas thank you very much). Followed shortly by "Dude really, dont you have any gum?" with the most disgusted face I've ever seen on Vinces face in the 6 years I've known him. Then he proceeds to spray air freshener inside the car. Longest fucking car ride ever. Poor Justin. |
Friday - Pure Trance Crew were certainly giving the crowd a show and maybe in a few years Kevin's dreams will come true of one day being the next Above and Beyond. Chris Lawrence absolutely destroyed the house with many banging tunes. Certainly the best set i seen from him. After that i really don't remember much of friday
Saturday - wouldn't know.... to tired to do anything other than sleep
Sunday- Got in the club at Pure to find it less than filled. At this point being in buffalo i expect it but don't give a rats ass, I'm here to dance and have a good time. Looking around for a few friendly faces i run into Tyler where he finally introduces me to V-Vaughn for the short 5 secs that i shook her hand lol. Menno did pretty well and got me going a few times during his set. After 12 the club began to fill up which certainly brought the energy up a little bit. Really enjoyed the ending of Menno's set playing As You Fall(Kayu & Albert Remix). When Eddie came up last year, i really didn't enjoy his set so i didn't have high hopes. But i was willing to give him another try at least for a half-hour. Came out banning and really had me going for most of his set. Eddie did lose some steam around an hour of his set so i decided to check out the upstairs patio at pure. The local that was spinning up the was extremely good. Playing some deep tracks that were mixed very well.Certainly had people dancing as the room was more filled than the main room around 2:30. Left pure around 250 and decided to check out noir for some Serge Devant. At my surprise I find him packing his stuff up looking very uninterested being in buffalo . But I stayed because Jim Jarvis and Cory Downey were playing and i promised to see them play. Boy was I in for a very good surprise!!!!!!!! The club was extremely dark and Jim was banging out some great techy beats that were very dark & dirty. Had me going for the rest night from 3- 4:30 until one of the organizers ripped the cords from his deck.........(Yes the DJ did not want to stop playing lol)
Monday - What a fucking party on the beach. So many hot girls in bikinis
. Besides that the local talents were spinning some great house (and various genres of house) that keep the vibe going and energy high. Mark Oliver what can i say...... always tends to do very well when i see him and took the energy and played very well. As for Donald Glaude it was my first time seeing him and he did not disappoint on his performance and the energy he created for the crowd.I remember seeing Gareth Fist pumping in the back as he eagerly waited to get on. Gareth Emery did very well and banged it out the whole time he was playing. He was certainly enjoying the moment and went nuts with the crowd at different points of his set. He also played a 30 min encore as the event was due to end at 9:00.
Overall it was a good event for me and with better organization and less clubs involved it can really turn into a good thing. Sorry for the people that didn't have a good time you guys are very fourtante to have Toronto where everyone wants to get down.

| Originally posted by gimmebeatz unfortunate that all the TOTA's who came down on sunday were unable to stay for monday on the beach...GARETH EMERY FUCKIN KILLED IT!!! absolutely relentless from start to finish. so much energy behind the decks, bouncing all over the place with the biggest smile on his face showing he was truly excited to be there and having a great time. i wasnt sure if he was going to play more of prog trance set or really bang it out and he definitely did the latter. so happy i was able to see him play. donald glaude...FML with the electro..lots of energy but just cant take his music |

The guy you're talking about in the green shirt is Ron. He's a regular around the city and shows up at our events every once in a while. I always thought he was on something but apparently he's not and just seems to be missing a few screws. I've never had a conversation with him but he's always friendly and dances more than anyone I've ever seen in my life.
It was nice meeting the people that I did that night from Tranceaddict and Toronto (no way I could remember all of the names)... You guys were awesome and more than welcoming. It's good to see nice people representing Toronto.
