Thanks man, really appreciate that! I totally love that KiNK Remix myself also, would've defo charted it if I could've at that time

All in all really pleased with it myself also, I usually have some degree of "cognitive dissonance" when making mixes, but so far it's been very steady and has kept me happy. Something that doesn't happen all that often, cause usually I would complain to do it completely different after a day or so
It sure accounts for the timeless factor I was going for!

This was well worth the wait Glannie, great mix!

Posted by Glaniskanis on Jun-17-2010 17:24:

Wooo
Thanks guys!!!

Loving the great feedback, it inspires me to do another mix asap. It'll have to wait at least 1 month or so since my mobo and soundcard are bust. But I guess that's not really a problem because I need some time to find some new stuff first

Posted by Schadenfreude on Jun-17-2010 18:02:

I've been off electronic music for a while, but this was enjoyable enough to make me reconsider selling my stuff. Good job man.

Hey Glannie, what exactly does 'Rumspringa' mean?

Every time I see it in my music list, I think to myself:

"I like to sing-a. About the moon-a and the june-a and the spring-a"

But, I'm weird

Posted by Glaniskanis on Jun-18-2010 09:38:

Haha well literally it's derived from German and means: "to jump around / to run around"

But Rumspringa (also Rumschpringe or Rumshpringa) as a term generally refers to a period of adolescence for some members of the Amish (a subsect of the Anabaptist Christian movement), that begins around the age of 16 and ends when a youth chooses baptism within the Amish church or instead leaves the community. The vast majority choose baptism and remain in the church.
Rumspringa is the subject of the film documentary Devil's Playground

Basically the Amish youth goes totally wild for a period when they become "of age", in this case being around 16 years old, and they try out everything life, outside the Amish community, has to offer. You have to imagine being rebellious and things like driving, smoking, drinking, partying (hard ), sometimes even pre-marital sex etc are very much part of this period

So both in terms of meaning and etymology the title really reflects what I was going for and because of that the artwork also contains the "Amish"-alike girl working on a laptop

Well that's a fully awesome name for a mix

This was fantastic man. I've vever heard a mix from you before, so I'm glad I checked this out. Smooth flow from start to finish, and mixing was on point. I loved the sound you went for....there were several stand out tracks for me, the Radio Slave remix of Leonor's Lanugo and the Vince Watson track are ace. Also looking forward to finding out what track 7 is.

Nice job, hope to hear more from you soon.
