Was released couple of days ago...

Honestly you could play this in a tech house or minimal set if you slow the bpm a bit down and no one would notice it.

He jumped on that fart-trance bandwagon when it became big, almost all big trance djs play some of that kinda stuff now.

lumping SvD in with those cookie cutter electro house dj's like David Guetta is ridiculous. SvD>Guetta 7 days a week and twice on Sundays.

Im not saying electro house im saying electro trance
Like Faithless - Not Going Home (AvB Remix) or W&W vs Jonas Stenberg - Alligator Fuckhouse thats the style I mean and lots of Trance DJs play that stuff. Or anything that comes out of Coldharbour & Coldharbour Red these days.

Went to a rave a few months ago and Ferry, Markus Schulz, SVD and Sied Van Riel were headlining in the trance room. I'm not a trance fan btw..

Ferry's set was too cheesy and uplifting, SVD's set was too fast for my liking, I didn't stay long.. but Markus Schulz, jesus christ what a fucking amazing set. Dark moody proggy tech trance. Wow.. I'd see Markus again.. I didn't get to see Sied Van Riel, he was on at 10am and I was dead.

Tech trance ftw.

yea I wasn't talking about you. I agree a lot of dj's play things similar yeah, but the same? definitely not. Like I said, it's all about bringing their own unique style/flavor/whatever you wanna call it to the table, and I think SvD definitely does that.

hell of a lineup!

I enjoyed the first few months of his identity mix a ton. After that i stopped listening for a long while and when i tuned back in months later i didn't enjoy it a bit.
Then again my taste in music changed alot during that time as well so that could have something to do with it.

Who labels every contrary opinion about SVD as ridiculous, crazy or clueless.

how is that different from other arrogant people on this forum trying to prove their taste in music is better than others?

what year would you say he jumped the shark.. 07 or rather in the last year?

that reach out track would go down well in a club

Posted by Meat187 on Jun-06-2010 09:34:

He was great from 2004-2006 or something like that. Today his stuff bores me.

Oh, and what ever event you went to, it was definitely not a 'rave'

The first tracks he released on oxygen records (Dark Roast, Loaded, ...) plus his former works under the Sam Sharp & Purple Haze were absolutely great.

Then he suddenly started to release crap on Armada and stuff

That's exactly the question I'm asking. Fanboys lose their rationality when it comes to their pet subject, arrogant people simply attack anyone with different taste.

Besides, even people on this forum who think they have better taste than others don't usually quote and dismiss every contrary post.

Purple Haze - Eden Purple Haze - Adrenaline ..... gr8 tracks, now i like Renegade & Daisy, completely different style but is a fresh sound different from the others.

Bastillon,Ninety,Bliksem... i don't see why this tracks are so good, i didn't like him because i thought that all his productions were like this.

Posted by Redd on Jun-06-2010 14:34:

why the fuck do you ask a question like this when you obviously don't want an answer?

Rebel9 is right, the track you posted is bad / dull / shit.

SvD was really good at Bal en Blanc, but I tend to agree that Markus's set just nailed it !

The breakdown of they need us it's one of the worst breakdowns you can hear live... the track has a good proggy feeling but this kill it...

I dunno, I think that track is a great one for a little bit of a cool down portion of a set.

@Redd, it's a progressive track, your taste is obviously as old as you are.
