oh im not going to tunisia anymore, im going to rhodes in greece
Greece sounds better to me.
Ah good, greece needs every single cent they can get their hands on.
Nothing really to do as a turist in tunisia except swim and get ridiculously wasted on surprisingly reasonably priced booze. My parents go every year, they start drinking the moment they get off the plane and are still drunk when i pick them up from the airport a few weeks later.
Re: anyone ever been to tunisia?
I have been in Tunisia 5 times as my father was born there (previous French colony, etc.)

Even James Earl Jones is surprised Tunisia is so beautiful.

I should not be allowed near the internet when I'm that drunk
ace
I was haphazardly listening to the news today and apparently there is a new wave of riots all over Tunisia because everyone there now fucking hates the president's gold-digger wife and they are firebombing shit.

| Originally posted by d-miurge I have been in Tunisia 5 times as my father was born there (previous French colony, etc.) Tunisia is a more or less soft dictatorship, so don't expect to be allowed to be drunk in public in downtown. In your hostels or in places packed with other tourists it will be ok. No yellow fever, but ask your doctor for the basic vaccinations. Also, drink bottled water if you don't want to spend your days with the TD. Yeah, it's way cheaper than good ol' western countries, but a bit more expensive than China or India for instance. |
You will see that their booze isn't the greatest, but they usually haver normal stuff in hotels.

| TUNIS, Tunisia (AP) - The Tunisian army fired warning shots in the capital Thursday as demonstrators marched toward the headquarters of the longtime ruling party, and government ministers quit the party in a desperate attempt to keep their jobs. Demonstrators have criticized the country's new unity government announced Monday for being mostly made up of old guard politicians from the ruling party. They are seeking the disbanding of the RCD party, founded by ousted President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who fled to Saudi Arabia on Friday after 23 years in power. Outside the gates of the party headquarters in Tunis, the army fired about 10 rounds into the air, scattering some protesters in the noisy but peaceful crowd. Others remained, chanting, "Down with the RCD!" The warning shots came after a period of relative calm in Tunisia, which has been rattled by more than a month of unrest over the lack of jobs and corruption in Ben Ali's regime. Police even let protesters break a curfew Thursday night to hold a sit-in near the Interior Ministry. |

It is kinda dangerous, but nothing dramatic, just stick to the touristic parts. Don't buy street food, their hygienic conditions are not the greatest. Trust me, did my time.. You will see that their booze isn't the greatest, but they usually haver normal stuff in hotels. |

| Originally posted by The17sss I don't get it- is this the kind of advice one should be taking before going on a "vacation"? My idea of vacation entails either: A) Places that are safe to walk around with your lady, awesome food, quality accommodations, preferably crystal clear ocean water, palm trees, and relaxation. B) Spending time in a location that has incredible historical significance (not including areas where women and gays are stoned to death, or you might be kidnapped because you don't worship the same fake deity as the locals). |

OH TUNISIA, STOP IT

What an asshole that Stuart guy is.
