This looks like a rocking show! Daniel and Kristina on warmup duties. I really want to go out but I'm still feeling under the weather

stop spreading rumors!

have fun, i'll have twice as much fun saturday with the twice as long set

Does anyone know when the line starts getting packed? I'm trying to be one of the first 200 people to be comp'ed but i might not get there until 9:45- 10:00. Through past experiences with a Giants event at Sutra, what would your guys' gut feeling say about the line tonight?

Posted by bigperf on Aug-20-2010 04:46:

you tell us, its 945 :-) should be pretty crazy.

Yup suuuuper packed. I even saw a fight break out for a minute in the middle of the dance floor. This place needs to be expanded ASAP, or they need to strictly cap attendance.

WHAT A NIGHT! There was a good amount of people but wasn't too jammed packed where it ruined your night. And surprisingly, the vibe wasn't too bad at Sutra- everyone seemed to be having a good time! I haven't been to Sutra since they remodeled, and let me tell u, it is very impressive! The lighting, which includes an uber background of l.e.d lights behind the DJ booth, and the superclean bass dispensing soundsystem, are truly state of the art. So anyone who has their doubts of checking out this venue during a Giants event should give it another chance.

On to the DJ's - Daniel and Kristina were excellent! Both different style DJ's but it was just the variety my ears were yearning for. One of the highlights for me that night was when Kristina dropped that psy-trance track! What a treat that was =D Strangely though, I wasn't blown away by SVD =( He laid down a couple good tracks but I didn't get the consistancy I was hoping for (I coulda just been tired at that point though). Nonetheless, I had such a great time and I hope whoever went last night did too!

yeah i saw that fight broke out...this short guy is super drunk or rolling bumps into some dude, dude checks him, short guy pushes back, dude lands 3-4 good shots to his face...short guy gets owned with bruises/blood on his face.

hate how the night ended, svd was about to drop Sia - The Girl You Lost To Cocaine (Sander Van Doorn Remix) but they cut him off...stupid sutra.

Song of the night for me:
SvD at Sutra

Why does your writing sound like you work for Sutra or Giant? I'm not saying what you are saying isn't true, but just what you are pointing out and how you are pointing it out sounds like some PR lines.

Anyhow, just how it comes off.

Ya, that was a burn...wanted him to finish playing that also! Was a fun night...its been a while since I've went to see a trance DJ play. Daniel and Kristina did a great job warming up.

What was one of the last tracks Kristina played before handing off the decks to Sander? Really catchy tune.

I kind of thought the same as well

Just so everyone knows though he doesn't, he actually messaged me for info on the A&B night

Thanks to everyone who came out. Had an absolute blast as always. Will have video up real soon.

Haha sorry you got that impression but no I definitely don't work for either of them. I just felt compelled to give kudos to both Sutra and Giant b/c I had a surprisingly great time that night, mainly due to the things I pointed out. Plus, I really want more edm enthusiasts to come out to events like this in Orange County so we can eventually weed out the douchers and douchettes, utimately creating a better vibe :^)
