I am guessing his name was Ean Golden, not sure though.

Welcome to the forum Prashant.

Yep Ean Golden has been pioneering the vci 100's abilities for quite some time now. Pushing it's functionality further and further with some great mashups and effect combinations. Great to watch as he's kind of enough to help everyone out by going through a lot of his mini routines.

Go to www.djtechtools.com for hours of reading entertainment. Great site (created by Ean and a few other very talented people)

About your comment above though that the Xone series are great midi controllers, are you talking about the 1D 2D DX 3/4D etc? As their mixers (92,62) are shocking for midi control. Well not shocking but the 800 or even the Behringer mixers provide better midi implementation

you can map out an X1 to control all four decks somehow? or do you need two X1's?

There is a shift button which i think allows you to control all 4 decks, but people usually prefer to get two of them if they're using 4 decks

Edit: I've gone onto their website and can't confirm this. If anyone with an X1 can confirm or deny this that would be great.

Cheers.

edit 2: From this page CLICK ME

It looks like you can control deck c and d, but you'd need to tweak a few of the controls to be able to do it HTH

Yeah it's always possible, you just have to sacrifice a bit of functionality and if you remap buttons for something like that you might have to put up with the buttons not doing what the labels next to them say they do!

Nice one Stu,

I thought that, but not having used one I wasn't sure.

Recently i've been tempted to get one. I've got a faderfox DX2, which to be honest is doing exactly what i need it to do and apart from having to use a shift function to switch over to deck A and Deck B i love it.

It depends how big the booth is, but usually the more stuff you bring with you and the bigger it is, the more you'll get in the previous DJ's way while you plug it all in. That comment was initially in reference to rocking up with a 4D, which is a monster of a machine... drop that on the warm-up jock's fingers while he's mixing and he won't be best pleased.

Although on reflection in some ways an all-in-one setup can be more convenient for all concerned as you only have to plug one thing into the back of the install mixer... just keep it small! (which usually means saying goodbye to the 3rd and 4th channels)

Yep, they've been everywhere as of late. Suspended and deleted.

I was talking about the Midi capability of the controller ie 1D,2D,4D etc. I am well aware about the Midi capability of DJM 800, but Xone 92 stands out for its sound quality.
