Digweed will be closing.
If he goes #2, so the night begins there.. Why would anyone show up to see above & beyond..

Posted by Endlesswave on Aug-22-2010 18:43:

It's ALL about Axwell, Diggers, The Schulz and Fabiooooooooo (and sure Dj Die.)

maybe because they are #4 Dj'(s) in the world if you go by DJmag? Meaning they draw the crowd, so while you may not go see them, you are in the minority it would seem

n00b question: I put myself and friends on the TA guestlist... so then when we get there we just get in the guestlist line and then pay cash or debit at the door?

Cash no debit im pretty sure ... atm is right there tho.

You will get in the guest list line. give them your name and which guest list you are on ... they will give you a ticket, then comes the search. then line up to pay and give them the ticket to get reduced... and go on in .

Isn't this tranceaddict? ...hmmm, then why so much hate for the headliners? I guess A&B and MS have fallen out of the TA hearts. Oh well, more room to dance then.

LOL

Even if no TAs showed up there wouldn't be room to dance.

Personally I've never really liked A&B. This line-up isn't bad....but its not going to be one of those epic parties that people talk about for years after....ie the first Sunrise Set from Lawler.

Mark my words...the talk of the party will be the Tent.

Markus Schulz will be doing his world tour at LOL so i'm guessing he will do a 3 hour set!

koolhaus
Mark Oliver 10:00 - 12:00
Markus Schulz 12:00 - 3:00
Above and Beyond 3:00 - 5:00
John Digweed 5 to close

is my guess!

above and beyond into Digweed...

I can't imagine going from this high energy trance and then John having to transition in to his own Digweed sound?? I am in no means complaining about the diversity of the music in the kool haus that night, I actually like that it done so differently this time around. But if you're going to be taking a risk with the diverse sounds (as we know Toronto doesn't take a lot of risks in this scene); in my opinion you really need to set the artists up right.

Euphoric ---> Driving Trance ---> Gritty Underground Darkness...

A&B - Markus - John is what I am hoping for....John, 4am on... heaven...

Posted by TrAnCeiN4LiFe on Aug-27-2010 23:58:

all i have to say is FUKKKKKKKKK!! i'll miss digweed and i really wanted to dig some weed with him

FUKKKKK you TEXASSS!

Posted by on Aug-28-2010 01:15:

My guess is that Mark Oliver will be doing the warm up up until 12AM as usual. A&B will start their set at 12 and run until 2AM. Then Markus will take over with his set which will most likely go until 5AM. Digweed will then take over until 7AM.

However I do hope that Digweed can't make it on time and Markus goes on til 7! lmao.

I have a feeling Markus will close out the night. As much as I'd like to see Digweed close out the KH, I think it makes more sense to have his prog/tech stuff playing to setup for Markus' brand of melodic prog. I would think Markus is bigger than Digweed too.

lol... I was wondering the same thing! What kind of statement is that?

I guess this is coming from the guy that thinks Sasha hates Toronto and will do anything possible to never come here and come up with every conspiracy in the book to back up his theories...

Posted by Nobbie Q on Aug-28-2010 23:02:

Well i'm just basing my opinion on the top 100 DJ poll. Both Sasha and Digweed aren't even in the top 10 like the good old days and high flying trance and house has taken over the top 10. I just think trance is a bigger sound and would attract all the casuals easier then the deep stuff Digweed plays. Of course that poll isn't specific to Toronto, but it still gives a general idea of what's 'big' now these days. That's why I think they'd save Markus for the end cuz apparently he's bigger according to that poll.

Those good old prog DJs have been going down in popularity unfortunately and the Guv is selling out by placing guys like Axwell and this kissy sell out charactor in the main room as you can see. I personally enjoy Digweed more than obviously A and B and Schultz combined but I don't think the MAJORITY feels that way.

So this discredits everything and everything that I do from now on? I think there's def. something fishy going on with that and if not it's still disrespectful to T.O. fans by bailing twice in a row.

naaahhhhh.... lol think about what your saying......digweed has been around for longer then schulz.....for sure is more popular... been in the top ten for over 12 years.....what does that say

Posted by 1sashenka on Aug-30-2010 01:54:

IMO, the line-up which makes more sense would be:

1. Digweed with his slow jams
2. Above & Beyond with their faster fluff
3. Markus with more banging tunes then A&B

I cant be bothered to see any of them anymore after years of them coming here, as they spark no interest in me. I gave up on Digweed after I saw him at Meow in 2000, cause after that he went downhill for me. A&B is not a good live act for me. Markus may deliver the only decent set for me, and still not interested. These days, I am more interested in newer talent only, which I havent seen yet live. So that I can put a checkmark in my list of djs to see. That is what turns my crank these days.

I agree with you buddy. Next thing they will say Oakenfold is #1 these days. New generation trancers will be like who the f*** is Digweed, give us Markus we love so much.

Posted by Nobbie Q on Aug-30-2010 02:33:

Yeah ppl need to be realistic and look at what the scene is like now. I'll be very surprised and happy if Digweed is on last but I would think he'd be on first before even A and B and if not, then def. before the new god of trance Markus Schultz. Like JD always ends his sets in an uplifting, melodic way and that would be a perfect setup for Schultz. Like Markus' name is on before Digweed's on the flyer so what is that telling everyone?

Yeah man Guv is catering to what's big unfortunately and ppl need to see that. I enjoy MS as well but honestly I thought Digweed would come here with other prog DJs or maybe some techno DJs. If he's not spinning for at least 3 hours, then I can't fathom paying $60+ for this thing...
