The Fifth Club - probably one of the best top40 places I've been to recently, thanks to friend's birthday

I agree. Went in with low expectations as last time I had gone was probably 7 years ago... had a great time here!

used to enjoy the Pheonix in London when my gf went to Western

Posted by Endlesswave on Aug-26-2010 21:49:

Last one I went to that I remember was for a friend's bday at Lot 332, was so rammed when I went in there...ridiculous. You think Guv was bad? Man.

College St bar and Andypool hall aren't commercial guido fests imo. Those places are better than that. (The phoenix concert theatre is cool for a rock sketch frame of mind).

Also been to Tattoo for my brother's bday last year, was a drunken mess, people are friendly.

I just go w my brother and pal's sometimes or w other friends if I want a change of pace. Usually end up getting super tanked especially if I don't like the music.

yaaaah Tattoo! forgot that I had fun there for my birthday celebrations as well, I'd like to go back soon!

That would be me and I ask why since the top floor played all top 40 and the basement played all 'urban' music. I went on a Sat. I believe.

Tattoo is a ROCK bar though. They are always better than Top 40/Hip Hop clubs imo. Better music, and better crowd. It was rammed and extremely hot in there though, but there were also some cute boys

I can usually have fun at mainstream clubs. Obviously need a good group of friends and enough drinks, but who goes to a club alone and sober anyway? Maybe rapists.

We used to go to Republik a few years back and it was pretty fun. Most things on college street are good too. The Madison is awesome on fridays and saturdays in the summer. When I was 18/19 I loved going to Piccadilly's or the Brunny and getting shittered, but I don't like to talk about that.

Does Wrongbar count? (most) Wrongbar saturdays are actually the sickest. Decent to good music as long as you don't mind things more on the disco/electro side of the spectrum. Good ratio, nice looking ladies, as long as you don't mind hipster chicks. Not that slutty I guess. Great sound, high ceilings, decent priced drinks. Some nights are kind of gay, but you can know that ahead of time. But yeah, Wrongbar is sick.

I've been surprised by Century Room cuz after like 2-2:30'ish the DJ started playing tech house lol and I heard Backroom Honey by Saeed Younan being played! The smaller room which plays hip hop was playing soulful deep house. It was pretty cool!

Not that I get out to clubs much these days, but this is so true.
It is nice to have a seriously fun night out, get hammed and not care. I love going periodically to Abstract on Retro night here in Kitchener with some friends. It is always guaranteed to be an awesome night

I used to go to these probably about 10 yrs ago, lol. You can also add Whiskey Saigon (turned into Joe's apartment or something like that) and Limelight to my list

They were definitely good times though, always!!

Wrongbar is great too for sure. But I've only gone regularly for electronic ish dj's.

The Social can be pretty fun as well.

At least contribute to a top 40 place you've been to? (Unless you're like Sasha and can't) which is ok.
