I regret nothing

Posted by IL Ducce on Sep-15-2010 03:17:

when i was 31 i clicked on a really shitty thread. my blood pressure raised so much that one of the genital warts on my scrotum burst and i ruined my favorite underwear. I will never forget the day they were assigned to me at the rectory.

this chick invited me over to watch finding nemo one time. she was a huge babe, all over my dick and shit. she smelled like strawberry shortcake, i love strawberry shortcake, that shit revs my engine. unfortunately i was a giant douchebag back then and i didn't take advantage of the situation. she still wants my penis though, so i have a backup plan just in case

When I dumped an ex-girlfriend many years ago I told her "I'm too good for you and I deserve better." In retrospect I regret not being harsher.

Posted by infiniteJEST on Sep-15-2010 14:58:

send her a vulgar text

misspell words for emphasis

How would you make this harsher?

With more stabbing words or by like choking her while you said it?
Or maybe blowing in her face as the words tumble out of your mouth vehemently. Then tell her you fucked her sister.

Posted by infiniteJEST on Sep-15-2010 16:32:

oh look another post by ania about sexual degradation

I don't know how I would have made it harsher, but I should have.

Ten years later, with the help of facebook, I contacted her, took her out, got her drunk, and fucked the shit out of her for two days straight. When she was finally able to walk again, I kicked that bitch out of my apartment and never called her again.

Props man

I don't know. If it's who I think it is then I think she will never forget you.

Certainly here husband won't... if he's learned to read anyway.

I don't have any regrets as I embrace all my fuck-ups and view them as valuable lessons in life. I wouldn't learn anything otherwise.

Nothing is lost if a lesson is learned.
Amen.

You know what, I regret my mistakes at least once a month.

I learn quite a lot revisiting my errors and analysing each and everyone of my major cock-ups. Why did I do that? What would've happened if I did otherwise? What hindered my judgement back then and how can I change it? Why do I feel sad about it? Such and such...

I don't know why people seem to think regret (or, for that matter, sadness) is an inherently bad thing. It can be constructive as well as destructive, you just need to know how to cope with it.

I do that too, immediately after said cock-up. I take what I can from it and move along. No use dwelling over it 2 - 3 years later, like some people.. *cough* LoveHate.

It's not a bad thing. There is nothing more natural than feeling sadness or nostalgia. But as you said, you need to know how to cope with it and learn from it.. they're supposed to be constructive experiences. Sadly a lot of people have defeatist attitudes and dwell on regret, thus making it destructive, which is bad juju all around.

It's all right, you gave the church their city back. You're definitely going to Heaven, Benito.
