Agreed. Hip-hop has sounded trancey as fuck for years now.

Technotronic was soo awesome, also liked Nomad, both and many others used synths etc, but more house than trance of course:

Hard to the core, I feel the floor
When I'm on stage, yo, ya answer more
I'm on the edge, I know the ledge, I work real hard to collect my cash!
Tick tick ticka tick take your time, when I'm goin' I'm goin' for mine
Open your ears and you will hear it
I tell you this 'cause there's no limit!

No limits allowed
Cause there's much crowd
Microphone check as I choose my route
I'm playing on the road
I've got no fear, the south from my mouth is on record here
No valley too deep no mountain too high
Reach the top, touch the sky!
They tried to diss me cause I sell out
I'm making techno and I am proud!

Armin van Buuren, one of the truly innovative progressive minds of our time.

This all may be very true and such, but answer me this: is there a rap track out there about unicorns? Well, IS there!? I'm sure Armada's gonna' corner that market.

The really funny thing is I can already imagine how a Fruity Loops trance remix would sound to that.

Two dying genres are holding on to each other before they will drown together.

At least Rap has a living underground scene.

This "prediction" is more like hindsight.

Rap is Andy Blueman gone wrong.
Trance is Eminem gone wrong.

Trance is turning a corner, you just have to dig through a mountain of crap "cookie cutter" trance to find the real gems, in fact its pretty satisfying when you finally find one

That shows how good Culture Beat was, Euro Dance 4Ever

By the way the prolog and epilog of Serenity in 1993 was amazing for that time (great THX like sound):
Culture Beat - Serenity (Epilog)
Culture Beat - Serenity (Prolog)
