he had 2 scenes in that entire movie but, as far as i'm concerned, he was the man of the hour. top notch work haha.
don't necessarily need hbo...download the show! a few other shows coming up on hbo that are worth watchin tho i think - first among them being season 2 of eastbound&down

I didn't expect it to be a 2 hour premiere

I really enjoyed it.

it was good.

it will be better once they get through setting up the story lines for us.

the set is unreal and the costumes are unbelievable...then again scorsese always gets that stuff right.

ehh i liked it.

the beginning was a little slow but it picked up nicely. great atmosphere they did recreating the 1920s well done imo and the main characters all seem to have a lot of depth to them. steve is a baller as always.

lookin forward to the rest

that scene early on tho - with the party when the band played at midnight and they all went nuts....wow that would be so amazing to be there. all i could think was how unreal it would all feel - knowing alcohol was about to be banned and getting as smashed as possible the night before

Posted by IL Duce on Sep-20-2010 21:34:

it would be amazing if you were there because you would be dead by now.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Sep-20-2010 22:08:

not necessarily...

i fucking loved, cant wait for the next episode
thought that the whole 20s theme would piss me off (like the 60s theme in the Mad Men pisses me off, honestly why do people watch that show? is it cause of the setting?) but it didnt, it was awesome

Everything. Serious answer

I think every aspect of the show is fantastic. The acting, directing, writing, story, music, art direction....all great.

I'm most of the way through season two and it's boring as shit. I'm all for giving a show a while to get going, but the only thing interesting is the insight into life in that time period. The writing is pure vanilla.

Ok, this show is amazing, I'm hooked. Everything is top notch, can't wait for the next episode.

I guess you just have to expect a slow start to most good dramas to let them set the stage, but it is starting to take off a bit more now. Psyched to have something of this quality to hold me over until Breaking Bad returns.

I'm rather impressed with it myself, I'm about to watch the latest episode. I thought the series started quite slow (although still enjoyable) at first, but it's picking up pace now and all the 'slower moving' episodes are making a substantial contribution to the character development.

I'm still finding myself looking forward to it every week and that's a good thing.

the only good things about this show are nelson and d'alessio brothers. the rest is pretty shit and it certainly is boring. not a big fan of leonardo dicaprio's brother nor do i like phantom sniper. too much emphasis on relationships and politics and it seems like the writers are more interested in getting in neat tidbits rather than developing a good story. just my opinion

Posted by stren on Nov-29-2010 22:54:

He does look like Leo I'll give you that. I'm loving the sniper character
