Lord that was even before my time....

God only where my life would've gone if I'd started in the '90's...

Great vid...

I think just like every social wave, it went mainstream.

When it goes mainstream, more money is invested, and therefore theres more liability. Increased liability->tighter security-> more rules/regulations = death of the rave mentality.

This statement directly describes the situation at Guv...

FFS people..stop blaming Electro...it's Electro HOUSE that you're talking about..Electro is rarely heard in Toronto.

Im not trying to be rude but you complain an awful lot about a place you come to often.

Surely you must get pleasure out of the place!

That's a pretty stupid question Jay...

I don't see where the complaint was in that post...

Agreed. Electro house is essentially the Eurodance of this generation. And if a great scene could thrive in the 90s with Eurodance present, there'd be no reason one couldn't today, in the face of Electro house.

Could say the same thing about you and Toronto.

Sounded to me like you were you were refuting the claim that Electo house was to blame for the supposed decline in the "scene", to which I was agreeing (and then adding the comparison to 90's Eurodance).

a slight difference between patronizing an establishment and relocating your whole life from a place you were born in wouldnt you say?

One is a 2 second decision and the other is something you have to have an exit plan for

Good attempt though i must say LOL

I'd say that theres a slight difference between me and a patron...

Wouldn't you say??

I mentioned it to him tonight and he said he'd throw a few old ones up on his FTP - will post them once he's done so. Looking forward to revisiting "Disturbing Nature", recorded at the first OM Festival - not as hard as what's in the vid, but one of my favourites of his.

Cool, just don't ask for any playlists:

Wish I had playlists, but that would take forever as I only ever knew my records by look and not artist/track. That blue sleeve with boobs on it side B has that excellent snare loop and the woman screaming.

And they probably could, based on the popularity of contemporary EDM, but they won't, because it'd also probably be more work and bring in less profits than just showing Jersey Shore and whatever other shitty reality shows they play today.
