this is the best youtube can do right now.
pittsburg won, but man do they fucking suck this year.
gaborik injured again, how surprising
no one gives a shit about drury but still....what the fuck is going on? macarthur leads the league in goals and the loafs are undefeated?
i just checked outside, and could not see any pigs flying.
if the leafs play like they did tonight, they will definitely make the playoffs. if not for some good saves and a few bouncy pucks, the game would have been 8 or 9 to 3. Kessel scored twice and missed like 4 chances at point blank range.
don't let the hitler leafs avy fool you, i want the leafs to miss the playoffs with a furious passion only matched by a 12 year old with parkinsons just discovering masturbation
you can't be too happy with the injuries.
So far the leafs are looking exactly how I expected them too... Like a team poised to land 6th in the conference.
I'm not fooled into thinking they're going to put together a huge dominant year, their wins are still exposing weaknesses that will start to be exploited come the next few weeks, but they're showing an ability to soldier through the game and win, rather than go through the motions and lose.
I think it's gonna be a good year.
I'll consider the Leafs making the playoffs if this keeps up beyond the all star break. I would just have a lot of trouble putting money on it right now, because 4 - 0 start or not it just doesn't seem like a smart bet or a lock yet. I've seen my own team start stronger than this in this past, only to fall to the wayside by the end of the year, or get crippled to shreds with injuries. The depth chart in the t dot is not something that would make me confident.
Either way, you have to give them credit for right now...because they are doing what basically no one outside of toronto expected them to do, and are playing the perfect game for the kind of team that they have right now. I always thought Wilson was a horrible coach, but he is finding the elements that click well right now. I'll leave him alone and laugh at the Sutters instead now

not as much as calgary.
that ladies and gentlemen is the prime example of how not to be a gm.
decide for yourself LOL at 7:50
lol.
that was pretty damn brutal.
we keep on truckin.
The sharks D is a mess Huskins is one of the better guys out there....so its pretty bad.
you guys gave thornton the keys to the vip with that new contract.
i like him, but he better get results oustide of the first 82.
might as well post the hot topic in the nhl right now.
go to 55 seconds if you can't wait, but the whole clip is worth watching to see how it goes.
the fan got kicked out for no reason too.
Rypien should be gone for at least 10, but sensibly it should be waaaaay waaaay longer. You don't go after a paying customer out of frustration, and for clapping.
here is to hoping it is 20.
this is how you get back at fans

san jose's d looks to be the biggest weakness...they have some really big, really slow guys.
habs are leading the conference while playing mediocre hockey. I'm going to enjoy it now, before we take our rightful place between 6 and 8.;p
i like this new rule, even if no one got hurt, it will reduce injuries in the long run.
+1 to that rule, hits like that should never have been "ok" in the past
in the past, the players were smaller and careers were longer because of the certain respect players had for each other because most of them did not wear helmets.
players today are monsters, faster and stronger than before, and lack this same respect...not to mention all of the extra teams in the league mean less talented players...less talented players = "i need to do anything and everything to stay in the big leagues" which in turn leads to goonery.

i would say that the game is getting less physical in general (no more clutch and grab, interference being called now that would not have been in the past, instigator penalties for being the 2nd man in and so on...), but when the physicality does make its way into the game it is more brutal than before.
look at a player like sean avery...the rules that the nhl went along with make this player able to have a longer career. He has no respect for anything, and under the old rules would not last 5 minutes because he would be made to respect things by the players themselves by being beaten to a pulp.
the instigator rule has stopped players from being able to come to the defense cheap shots against your star players. With little fear of reprisal, or through knowing that the reprisal will cost the other team a penalty it makes sense to take runs at those guys to get game results.
the days of people like dave semenko making sure that you could not even cough on wayne gretzky are over. if gretzky played today he would not last 5 minutes.
edit: lulz
we just keep on rolling and i don't know what the hell is going on. It is still early, but I don't think anyone expected us to start this strongly.
Carey is looking really really really good.
we'll take every and each point this early on... we never know how bad and for how long a choking sequence might last
we seem to be hit & miss but I'd rather this time than end of the season time.
I can't believe
when they unfasten the nets from the ice, you can really see just how hard those pucks come in. I can't believe he straightened the net back into place...fake or real?
PS: habs
carey price getting it done big time.
