Not true.

Mau5 sold out, but they did setup an after party where he's playing lol

EDIT: Also, my guess for Tiesto and NYE would be the East Coast like NYC. They always start on the east and move west ward because of the extra 3 hrs they gain.

5 million dollar deal from what I hear. Fucking Tiesto I used to be a big fan of this guy, total fanboy status. I own most of his vinyl, have a hat that he signed on 4 different occassions. Worked for godskitchen in Vegas for his Tiesto in concert show out here in LA in 2005 and the NYE concert. I promoted my heart out for the guy lol. I was like I said a total fanboy.

Now that I know this guy never made his own music I have lost all respect for him as an artist. What goes on behind the scenes for these big events, residencies and gigs are just backroom deals cut buy a few people who take their own cut. In Las Vegas if you want Tiesto you talk to 1 person. The same in LA but maybe 2 people out here could get him booked for you.

Every show will be sold out in Vegas there's no doubt about that, it's just sad that this guy has yet to make 1 record completely solo and he is making 250k a gig.

The days of being a good DJ and making it international are over today you have to make records, this guy doesn't make records.

I highly doubt he has never made 1 solo track. I mean the man had to start from somewhere - unless he was just a buyer from the get go - which is pretty smart actually if you can afford it.

He was making that or around that at his Monday residency @ Privilege...and it was probably Euros. So why not Vegas.

Went to a couple Tiesto in Concerts in 2005. LA and Vegas New Years. Fun times! And back then I was a big Tiesto fan. I'd still go, but now I'm more of a house music fan now.

10-12,000 fit inside Privilege.... the Joint holds only 4,000 people.... that's why $250K or $400K doesn't make sense with $50 tickets. you can't make a profit with those #s.

Posted by Cool1g on Oct-17-2010 03:04:

the last 2 times he played LA for the 3 nites of shows, i believe his fee was in the $75K per nite area...

It's in a casino not a free standing venue supported by just the bar and ticket sales. I doubt they're making a killing but the publicity and the bar + table sales I would think would cover alot of the cost. And I don't think tickets at the door will be $50, closer to $75 if not $100 or more! Does anyone know if there will be guest DJs as well?

I paid $250 at the door to see Tiesto at ICE with Deep Dish opening before I worked for them. Was the highlight of my clubbing career so far for sure but I was a fanboy back then. I left at 9am completely sober and in tears it was a good evening with my best friend We were glued to the DJ booth the entire time open to close!

I'm sure there will be plenty of bottle poppers/posers that will help pay for his rate.

I remember once seeing him in Vegas with a bunch of dudes popping Cristal after Cristal just to spray it on everyone.

Was that a Memorial Weekend, maybe 2004ish when some guy paid him 10k cash to keep playing?

Was the 10k deal at ICE or JET?

Posted by modthispny on Oct-18-2010 01:23:

never really got into tiesto but i like his recent remixes and he'll be there during my birthday weekend in april so might as well check it out..i'm sure he'll put on a good show.

Posted by TommyfromLA on Oct-18-2010 01:45:

There is nooo way he is getting 250k a show specially not with such a well known promoter Angel Management.... 4000 x 50 dollars 200k and if you even say 100k in alcohol thats 300k if if if everything goes as expected there is no way they would be retarded enough to do that... max is 100k per show maybe 150k for the crazy weekends..Ohh and dont fall for Tiesto in concert loll its just a Tiesto show for it to be a Tiesto in concert it would require 10k or more people thats how it started.

Tiesto on Ibiza is a totally different story club fits 10k people and tickets are 55 euros each and the production is the best in the world
