-- TIESTO has turned his back on the music that has made him famous....

| Originally posted by system-7 I think the only reason he is doing this is because he is coming to the states. And as someone mentioned, residency in Vegas calls for the crowd of poseurs and bottle service partiers(nothing wrong with that)that eat up this type of stuff. I'm not even bothered about him changing up. I just don't like the way he put it, like the genre just ends with him. (yeah freakin right) It like when Jordan decided to play baseball. |
That video is absolutely hilarious, especially with the jesus crosses and the shots of the djs posing in a similar way.
I don't see what's so bad about Roger Shah playing his little mini midikeyboard on stage.
I like the fact that he and other musical artists can play their songs on piano, unlike many, many, many others.

I agree Elements of Life was a great CD, but I guess that is when Tiesto realized that he rather work with rappers and pop artist, because trance is soooooo boooooooooring...

i dont know who i dislike more now...deadmau5 or tiesto. thats pretty tough.
Damn what was Tiesto thinking making those comments. Even if he wants to move into a different direction, why alienate his millions of trance fans in the process? He comes off like he's completely turning his back on trance by saying things like he's "deleting" trance from his set. Those be fightin' words! Sounds like he doesn't want to associate himself with trance anymore and be strictly about house. I doubt he's going to play pure house music anyway. A lot of trance and house now a days have elements of the other genre incorporated into it, and those are tracks he'll prob continue to produce and play. In the end, these comments are going to hurt him more than help him.
Just thought about this, this fool makes this comment after the voting poll. I bet he would fall outta 10 fast if he made those comments before. Should thank those trance fans that put him there.
(never voted for tiesto in DJ mag poll, always give the vote to other talent)
Basically trance heads vs house heads.
Yet you fucktards keep voting him as one of the Top 10 DJ's on the tranceaddict.com poll!!!
maybe tiesto, guetta and deadr4t will all be on a plane together going to some shitty electro show and fly over the bermuda triangle, becoming forever lost in temporal time warp
LOL@ the last two comments. i cant agree with u more

Armin, like him or not, deserves praise. He's stayed true to the music and himself, evolves his style in subtle ways every now and then, and is a genuinely nice guy.
At this point Tiesto seems to have "trying too hard" syndrome. He's an egomaniac, and not content to just be a trance legend. He wants to be "cool" with Hollywood and Vegas like Guetta is. The difference is that Guetta seems to love doing what he's doing, whereas Tiesto looks like he's forcing it, and his DJ ability just isn't the same. He can't string house songs together with the same level of ease he did with trance.

Lost all my faith in this guy and I used to be his biggest fan!
I hate where dance music as a whole is going the quality is getting harder and harder to find.
I'd like to see a different voting system as I think this DJ mag thing fucking sucks.
I'm actually pretty surprised Tiesto is top in the DJ poll, because the MD is filled with people who make it seem like it's Resident Advisor 2.0
His words truly surprise me. Tiesto, you suck.
He's playing tonight with Steve Angello at Vanity after-hours abandoning his roots even more lol
Angello... BLEH

I look at Tiesto now and wonder what happened to 'DJ' Tiesto.
